"I'm all for giving good reviews but my experience must be heard, because it's insane what they did... Conclusion: Sorry but I would NOT RECOMMEND going here. The work quality was a complete failure. Too many MAJOR flags. I'm not trying to give an irrational irate review..yes I'm pissed but I'm listing obvious reasons why you should not go here. I'm calling out BASIC WORK that any respectable body shop would do and laying the facts with pictures. Backstory: - My car is a black 2019 mustang, is expensive and valuable. I've modified the car so it has some sentimental value as well. - Took my car in for a quarter panel repair. - Spoke to Bing directly. He was very friendly and assured me he had years of experience. - I didn't have insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. Thousands of dollars for this work. He seemed sympathetic and willing to help me out. Experience: - They did not finish sanding the bondo and left cross sand marks in the bondo which they PAINTED OVER - Had to repaint my car twice (had to bring the car back twice) because of mistakes. - My car still has left over unfixed "work" (major mistakes) till this day (see screenshots) - Poor bondo work (the putty they use to shape cars) on the quarter panel wheel weld arch, WASNT EVEN ROUND! MAJOR concern (please read below why). Additionally the quarter panel is not even shaped to original. - Did all the sanding and prep work with the car windows down. I had to clean the car of metal flakes and paint dust after it was returned (i have pictures) - Received car with oily polish swirl marks + dry polish on the car (have pictures of that) had to polish the car myself with a machine polisher. I doubt the average customer can do that or should need to do that Justifying this list so I don't sound like I'm irrationally ranting.. 1. Sanded and did all the prep work with the car windows rolled down. I had metal flakes and dust to clean up once i got the car back. Clearly quality isn't a concern since one of the owners himself sent me a picture of the car in progress and you can see the dust. This is paint and metal particles not just plain dust. 2. They returned the car with hardened bondo drippings on the quarter panel arch. Literally looked like an arch with icicles hanging from it. The arch wasn't even round! The reason is they didnt sand it during prep (BASIC STEP)... and the fact they painted over it is a major red flag to begin with. Very low quality work for a body shop ASK any body respectable who works at a body shop. 3. Brought my car back since they agreed to fix it and took responsibility for the bad quality prep work. So they fix the wheel arch and then repaint the car. Had to wait another week or two again for that. 4. Get my car back the second time with oil polish and swirl marks all over it.There was dry polish or maybe primer overspray on the door jambs, the wheels, the window and quarter panel. If you dont know about this , this stuff DOES NOT come off with soap and water. The guy was watering it down when I picked it up so I couldn't even seen these till i got home. 5. I had to re polish the car with a machine polisher after I got it back (average person cant do this, but why should they) Texted him about that to see if he would do it and he chose to stop responding so I had to re polish the car myself. 6. THE WORST .. I finally noticed they DID NOT finish sanding the car!! They left cross hatch sanding marks in the bondo along the WHOLE car (fender, door + quarter panel) These are little cross hatches done during prep work which need to be sanded flat BEFORE painting. This is just BASIC prep work that any respectable autobody shop would do. Please ask any one. 8. Another MAJOR REASON the quarter panel is not even sanded to shape the original body. You can see the bondo buldging out. To fix this the work would need to be redone. 7. These cross hatch sanding marks are in the bondo so the car will need to be stripped and sanded again then repainted to fix it. At this points its a year later. I'll have to take it somewhere else."
"I was in over my head with a paint project and these guys helped me out of a bind, worked with me to deliver a great service at a very reasonable price. I cant stop looking at my car!"
"Tae at Domport has been my go to car guy for over a decade. You can always count on him for reliable, friendly, and fair service. He'll make things as easy as possible for you knowing well that getting into a car accident can be extremely stressful. He's located just off of Fell St. I believe his crew has been with him for quite awhile. He works with all insurance companies and has also fought quite a bit for me when the claims adjuster was being unfair. I've never had issues with any of his work. We recommend all of our friends and family members to go to his shop. I hope you never need to fix your car's body...but if you must, take your vehicle to Tae."
"Tay is honesty someone I trust a lot with my car. He has taken care of the repairs on my cars on multiple occasions. My entire family has been using Domport for years. He's really honest and his prices are fair. Turnaround time is also good as is the quality of the work. I highly recommend!"
