"3rd time here.. always came around peak dinner time (7-8pm) on Wed/Thurs, stayed ~2 hours. Gets more crowded as we're leaving. Spicy seasoning is great, adjustable heat. Pork belly, lamb, and chicken cartilage were standouts, as well as cold pig ear salad. 5 stars for proximity to my buddies and me, friendly service, consistent food and speed."
"Gui was a first time Chinese style BBQ experience for me. I came with people who have been here already so I let them take the lead on ordering, but ordering is pretty simple and you just mark all the items you want, like at Din Tai Fung. First off, the appetizers and dishes that are not on the grill: * Spicy Pork Trotters: if you like pig's feet and spicy flavoring, get this - I really enjoyed this. The fatty/collagen texture was chewy and soft, and the spice made this a great dish. * Cucumber Salad, Pig Ears Salad, Jelly Noodle with Chili Sauce - these cold appetizers were all so yummy and would recommend. The BBQ items were amazing. Here are some of my highlights: signature chicken wings, chicken gizzards, jumbo shrimp, premium beef, and okra. Please keep in mind though that everything comes marinated in that spice, so make sure you're okay with that constant taste/spice. I enjoyed it for sure, and next time I may want to order a hot pot or other dishes that doesn't have the spice, just to break it up and give my mouth a break haha. I would come back again for sure and do recommend Gui!"
"The skewers were very good but the seasoning is same for everything. You have a choice between mild or spicy. The Dan Dan noodles had a strange “perfumy” smell and taste, we took a bite but couldn’t continue to eat it. I think this place is a good drinking environment while enjoying the skewers."
"Amazing Chinese BBQ place discovered! Come with me. Highlights of the menu: 1. Skewers: - Beef brisket - Chicken heart - Chicken gizzard - Chicken skin - Intestine - Beef tongue - Tribe - Steak - Okra - Fish tofu 2. Squid BBQ 3. Mushroom 4. Abalone 5. Scallop with vermicelli 6. Pork brain 7. Clams Love their beautiful traditional Chinese decoration, casual ambiance."
"Great food! The menu is incredibly large for a skewers restaurant. We ordered appetizers (shredded potato salad, cucumber salad, jellyfish salad, pig ear salad) and skewers (lamb, beef tendon, beef aorta, chicken cartilage, chicken heart, pig intestine) and a few grilled vegetables (eggplant, chives, potatoes). The skewers are seasoned with the same spice (which I can see may become boring after a few skewers) but I'd say it's extremely flavourful - cumin, Chinese spice, fennel are the ones that I can tell. In terms of heat, you're given the option for mild, medium, and spicy. There's no spice shaker on the table to add extra heat if you want additional spice. Price wise came to around $50/per person, but a reasonable meal can be had for $30/pp."
