Charlie's Chili Restaurant

"It's Charles Chili, a fixture in Newport Beach for a very long time. Once upon a time, they also had a restaurant in Costa Mesa that was only a block from my apartment. I used to spend a lot of time there. I sincerely love this restaurant. I love the food. I love the attitude. I love everybody that works there!!! Honestly, I've been going to this place for over 50 years. They have a place in my life and in my heart. And finally, a Charlie's Chili Cheese omelet with hash browns and a side order of toast is just about the best hangover cure known to mankind. Trust me. I know. Rock on Charlie's. Rock on."

It's the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy the amazing SoCal weather while enjoying anything on their extensive menu that is sure to make your day bright! This local favorite is a classic Newport destination if you want great food, friendly service, and an amazing view of the pier and ocean!"

"Honestly I wasn't impressed with the food. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Had the country fried steak and eggs. The steak was obviously purchased prebreaded and dropped into the deep fryer. The gravy was made from powdered mix. The Biscuit was as hard as a rock. Eggs were good"

"Morning Breakfast get together. Came here with 10 of my friends. We all enjoyed our breakfast. The food Was prepared in a timely manner. Our server was accommodating for our visit. Only issue was if you come with a large party. They will only accomadate 3 separate checks. Other than that you can't go wrong coming here for breakfast , lunch, or dinner. It a local favorite in Newport."

"We stopped after our walk on the beach and had lunch out on the patio. Our plates were the Huevos Rancheros, Surfers Burrito with Charrizo, Chicken Ceasar Salad, a house salad and the Storm Island Combo with cole slaw all with a tasty Bloody Mary. All plates were of good portion and gave us a full belly. I would definitely like to go back next time I'm in the area. Our little group is from New Mexico and Washington state."
