"Stick with the chicken and seafood. Skip on the sides. Lol. Hush puppies were hush puppies. Nothing special about the, but not bad. Roll was your basic roll. Red beans and rice were not for me, I didn't enjoy it. The gumbo was TERRIBLE. Worst Gumbo I jave ever had in my whole entire life, worse than every boxed Gumbo I have tried. Grandmas rolling over in her grave, genuinely insulted by that they are calling that gumbo. It looked off putting too. You know how they say you eat with your eyes first? My eyes are starved. Looked like dark goo. Picked out the 2 peices of shrimp and trashed it. The egg roll was straight trash, mushy and disgusting, just dont do it. However, the fried shrimp saved everything! (5 pc) IT WAS SO GOOD. Crispy, tasted fresh, I was surprised in comparison. I probably won't be back, but If I do, know it's for the seafood. The prices are good though, I'll give them that."
"The fried chicken meat tasted good (FYI: the batter has a kick to it). The fries did not feel fresh and were way overcooked. The fried shrimp/scallops/fish tasted ok but I was not a fan of the batter. They also sale raw fish, shrimp and scallop. The place looked like it needed some cleaning behind the front desk. They have a sign that there was no major violations found from the city."
"Who wants to stand in a HOT kitchen frying fish after working all day? NOT this chick! This place is legit and 2 blocks from my house. Fried oysters? YES PLEASE, my hubby loves the fried catfish, delicious fried Red Snapper. Oh and the coleslaw is on point, some places its mushy, not Louisiana. It so simple, insignificant even, and I do appreciate they take the time to do this simple thing RIGHT! THANK YOU LOUISIANA FRIED FISH!"
"I have been going to this place for years and they continue to keep the good food coming. I usually get their red snapper (which is amazing) but I’ve been reading reviews about the jumbo shrimp and I tried those with their fish combo (I got catfish). The jumbo shrimp is really good, cooked well, good flavor. The catfish was good as well but it wasn’t as good as the red snapper. There’s always a bit of a wait here, but it’s work it. Only downside is the parking. The lot gets full fast and the street does too, so good luck. Calling in the order may help with the wait if the line isn’t busy. Either way, you won’t regret the trip."
