Water Grill

"I’ve been wanting to check this spot out and I was free after a workout. Solid restaurant with top quality food. I had their wild Spanish octopus, wild jumbo shrimp Louie salad, a half dozen oyster sampler & a latte. The octopus was very tender and delicious, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The oyster sampler was also very delicious. Shucked perfectly and the dipping choices were excellent. The latte was also great. The Louie salad was good but I was expecting a different flavor, it’s a filling salad but I think it didn’t match my prior meals which is my fault but a good salad nonetheless. Customer service was great and attentive, thanks to Johnnny. He even asked asked if I wanted mixed or a deconstructed version of the salad. I was hungry, so tossed was it! Also a small detail, they got a coat rack! I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items. Parking is very limited to street or paid parking spots(dtla problems)."

"We are tourists, it was our first time visited this restaurant. We just ordered iced shellfish platters, fish & chip, crab cake, shrimp with pappardelle & salad. We didn’t order those signature grilled seafoods as don’t know how much a fish weights (charge per LB). Anyway we were enjoyed the dinner."

"Our server, Luis, was the highlight of the night. Honest recommendations and great rapport. Oysters were phenomenal; awesome selection. Chilean Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned but the gnocchi and squash puree fell slightly short of wow.... It was just ok. Drinks were very good and the wine selection was great."

"The manager was lovely and made some great recommendations. But I was very impressed with the level of great service from our waiter Carlos. He was on the ball the entire evening and made sure everything went perfectly smooth from start to finish. Genuinely good service by someone who has perfected his trade. The ambiance is also great here. The menu is delightful for seafood lovers, and we indulged in some lobster, crab, and a selection of oysters and other things. Everything was done perfectly and tasted delicious. I also had a steak (who doesn't love a little surf and turf) and they do them perfectly as well! (Oh and don't sleep on the chimichurri) overall a 10/10 experience. We would definitely return."
