"I would say Dinah’s is in my top three favorite diners in all of Los Angeles. The others being Pann’s and Pacific Diner. It’s been open since the 1970s, so is quite famous around town. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and every time I have been the food is terrific. Our server was very quick and attentive and they were very fast with the drink refills. We ordered iced teas (which is home brewed and very good), and they even brought an extra pitcher and left at the table. The coffee is strong and they really have a ton of great options on the menu. There is a giant free parking lot attached so finding a parking space will not be an issue. Inside is very large with a lot of different seating options from booths to tables to counter seating. Just as I would hope the inside looks like a traditional 50s diner and really is a great throwback to classic Los Angeles. The menu is very large and it has a lot of great options so it was very hard to choose what we wanted to eat. We ended up starting with a Cinnamon Roll because we saw them as we entered the restaurant and it was gooey and sweet and wonderful. It’s huge and covered in frosting and we both really enjoyed it. We ended up ordering the German Pancake , or as it is also known: The Dutch Baby. It was honestly really great, and was better than a lot of the other versions I’ve had of it. I decided to order a side of over easy eggs and put them in the middle of the pancake, which I would really suggest. Overall a delicious diner with fair pricing and large portions and free parking. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a solid casual dining option."
"The fried chicken and waffles ($22) and coffee ($3.15) and surrounding were everything I wanted from this old school diner. They also had a daily special breakfast for $13 which looked good. The waffles were crispy and airy, and the chicken was crisp outside and moist inside. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the service was very prompt and friendly (I came on a Monday morning and the large 50s retro dining area was only half full.) I'd definitely go back! Coffee was hot and half and half was provided at my request (I'm not a fan of creamer packets :).) Free parking too, although I could see it filling up on a busy weekend."
"Oh man. This place has rlly gone downhill food wise. I used to come here all the time as a kid and then moved away but since I moved back decided to come here to have some food that would feel nostalgic. But what I got instead was a stomach ache and food that smelled bad upon it reaching my table. The service was nice and the servers were all very kind but unfortunately the food just rlly isn’t good here or at least the food I got today. Don’t order any breakfast food here unless you want stale tasting pancakes , off smelling / tasting potatoes and over oiled breakfast meat. I wish I could say this place tastes as good as it did when I was a kid but unfortunately it didn’t. Hope others who go here will have a better meal if they choose to come here. The photo I’m posting is all I could eat before feeling sick :/"
"This old school style Diner takes the cake! I was craving something sweet so I stopped in for a pancake, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into but I was up for the challenge. There banana Walnut pancakes were the bomb, perfect to share. Love the old school atmosphere from the inside out were my reasons for giving it a shot. If you’re in the area stop on by."
"We ordered Chicken and Waffles, and the senior Chicken dinner. I like that you could pick white meat or dark meat with chicken, which was perfectly done. Tasted wonderful. But the height of the meal was clearly the waffle. Light, crispy and super delicious. The salad was fresh and the dressing very tasty. The coleslaw was good. We took home a small bucket of chicken and they included delicious dinner rolls with it."
