Porta Via Pacific Palisades

"If you are looking forward to having an enjoyable time and delicious meal, I would suggest you to think twice before you go to Porta Via! For 18 minutes of waiting we were not offered even water (not to mention not turning on the heater) even though the staff passed by us at least 10 times including the lady named Alex, who escorted us to the table. After that much time of waiting in almost empty restaurant we noticed that newly arriving guests were being helped by a waiter right away. So it’s clear that this place is being prejudice to their guests. When I approached Alex and asked her why that was happening, she decided to find out who was in charge of our area, which probably was what she was supposed to do from the beginning. But at this point we didn’t want to stay in this place anymore and had a nice dinner next door. I’ve been to this place before and they have a decent food which I recommended to my friends and family and I’m absolutely taking my recommendations back. Keep away if you don’t want to spoil your vibe."

"We went here right after getting married and were waited on by Alejandro. What a wonderful person to get us started and bring us some much needed drinks! The cocktails were very intricate and super tasty! We had a mushroom soup and a mushroom - arugula salad topped with Parmesan cheese. Both were great. Also, the Burrata and tomatoes were equally fantastic. Finished off with a celebratory crustless cheesecake and called it a day! We sat outside even thought it was cold and wet outside, but the staff turned on a heater for us and the perimeter also had heating that was on even before we arrive. We were the only two outside, but it was perfect because it was private and intimate! Overall, a cozy and relaxing spot. Would like to revisit for sure!"

"Food was ok, not what you would expect for its price. Except the burger, which was a 10/10 according to my company (which I haven’t tried yet). I had the Neapolitan omelette with nice crusty potatoes. But it lacked something and the burrata lacked all the characteristics of a burrata, it could have been mozzarella. The Chicken Paillard was big, but a bit too dry, even with the sauce. The ambient is very nice inside, bright and with a lot of plants, but you can also sit outside. Overall the food and service is good, but does not justify the price."
