"Called to get info on how to open my cooktop as they are an appliance store...I was told by the very rude person on the phone that they don't do that and I should call my manufacturer...so beware, they will not service the thing you buy, they will stick you with the manufacturer who will never actually help you. Go to Best Buy where they will come and fix the machine for you if it breaks. Hi WDC, thanks for your response, however, I appreciate that you could refer me to a service person, but so then why didn't the guy on the phone do that? I asked if I could contact the service people and he said, No we don't do that...he didn't offer an email or say that they could give me the name of a service person...just "you should contact the manufacturer", and we all know that never does anything..."

"Disappointing. Our household has purchased a number of appliances from WDC in the past. WDC's customer service has deteriorated and our last purchase was difficult, delayed, and required multiple follow-up calls before we got a credible explanation for why our order was not processed. They did, however, take the money immediately. Unlikely to be ordering from WDC in the future."

"Very poor customer service when something goes wrong! We purchased all of our appliances from WDC on State street. We went with their recommendations on “ high end “ products. The thermostat needed to be replaced. When the rear man came, I got a lecture on how the thermostats are never bad and the problem was I just wasn’t allowing the oven to warm properly. Turns out he thermostat was bad. The cove dishwasher we purchased failed three times within the first year and we are only here in this home half of the time. Each failure involved delays for service calls and part ordering.. After the third failure, Cove has agreed to replace the unit but has stated that the earliest possible replacement date is 5-6 weeks out and it may be as long as 7 months. When I called WDC, they have the unit in stock now. When I requested help in facilitating an exchange the reply was “ we have no responsibility in replacing the machine” and would not help interface with cove to help us get a unit sooner."
