Philz Coffee

"Philz always has great beans and the atmosphere is lively - so a great place to work close to Chapman. Given this, I have been a bit disappointed with this location. The depth of the taste I usually get from Philz has been a bit inconsistent - maybe they need more long-term baristas? Again, the beans and aroma are good but lately the coffee has been off - over or under-brewed. I do like to get half Julie's half Jacob's - a must try in my opinion. The food is usually alright. Don't expect anything particularly great, I'd say. Philz has a pretty good app by the by for ordering ahead. Good for a professor on the go!"

"The coffee is delicious every time I come here, and on the very off chance the coffee isn’t right, the brewista’s are super kind and helpful. Big fan of the mini breakfast burritos to kick off my morning. I rarely sit down and enjoy the space because it can definitely feel busy with college kids during the school year, but Philz is a go to during the work week in Orange."

"One of my favorite spots to go to. A staple if you’re a Chapman or Orange resident, but also a great place to stop by if you’re a local. Coffee quality is 10/10. Service and friendliness of the staff is top notch."

"The parking lot was a little confusing because it was only for mobile orders. Parking on the street was plentiful, though this early in the morning may be easier than later in the day. Nobody greeted me, and there weren't any obvious signs of where to start in the ordering process. I finally saw the arrow on the floor and knew where to start. I got an ecstatic iced coffee "creamy and fluffy" is how she described it to me. It tasted a little chalky at first. There wasn't a bold flavor as described. But once I was able to mix it all up, it was alright. The ice melted pretty quickly. The paper straw lasted about 15 minutes, and the cup itself started to get soggy at the bottom, so I had to dump it into a reusable tumbler. The atmosphere was great. Good music, free grounds for your garden, and "personal touches" on each baristas sign. I will give it another chance."

"Philz Coffee is one of my favorite chain coffee houses of all. Organic coffee and daily house specials are my favorite draw. No matter which location you visit, there is so much care that goes into each prepared cup. The staff always makes sure you are satisfied with your order and offer to modify it if necessary."
