"We had a lovely evening at this fabulous hole in the wall. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. The food was absolutely delicious and came out so fast. We ordered focaccia, arugula, pomegranate salad(fresh from farmer’s market), pizza,chicken pesto gnocchi, and a chocolate soufflé. Everything was so good. We loved the staff. They were really friendly, attentive, and helpful. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an authentic Italian dinner."

"Total disappointment in food and service. I thought the food was gonna be good because they had a lot of to go orders band they busy on a Friday night. Out of the 4 dishes, the pizza was the only item we liked. however it's was a cheese pizza topped with meat and arugula. The pricuotto and arugula were not baked in. The server bragged about those pizza but URBN and Siamo Napoli are far better. For the 2 pasta dishes - I tasted the pasta water they were boiled in. It tasted like they been using the same pasta water for over a week. This pasta water overpowered the marinara sauce. The gnocchi was horrible. It's the worst gnocchi I've ever had. We brought it home and even the dog didn't like it. The lasagna isn't cheesy as one would normally expect. It tasted like boiled ground beef and pasta water. The focaccia bread is just pizza cheese with EVOO on top...what a joke. The couple next to us also didn't like their food. Service want great either - but it was a busy night. They should eat at Siamo Napoli to get pointers on what true Southern Italian food should taste like. Plus their service is outstanding. Never has a disappointing meal with them even if they are busy. Read the other recent reviews because I'm not making this up. Also they charged an extra $1 tip for every person in our table without any authorization (see pic). Imagine the money they make on every customer they did this to."

"Ignore the 1 star review below. Completely wrong. My wife and i have been coming here since they opened and were married in Italy. This is by far the best, most authentic pizza in San Diego. Better than buona forchetta and siamo napoli. The Ingredients are light, simple and fresh. You can eat a big meal and you don’t feel stuffed and heavy, but nourished. The staff is particularly fantastic. They know every dish perfectly and can pair wine well. The owner is from capri Italy and it shows! Perfetto!"

"Food was not bad, the reason for my 3 start is that the appetizers were clearly frozen but other than that is a good place to eat. The margherita was good, the focaccia qirh mortadella and burrata was delicious, the paccheri weren't bad but they need to work on their bolognese sauce because is not supposed to be and taste like that."

"Absolutely incredible, delicious, VERY authentically Italian food. Total hidden gem in the area. Cannot recommend enough -- go have a meal now (it opened recently) before this place totally blows up and is packed every night. Menu is awesome -- tons of different options for Neapolitan-style pizzas with thin dough, just like pizza in Naples, as well as a huge menu of awesome pastas, including separate sections for gnocchi and raviolis. Also had super tasty specials, we ate this potato, basil, and octopus appetizer that was perfectly cooked. Can't wait to go back to keep working my way through some more of their dishes."
