"We wanted something local instead of the usual generic motel breakfast. Stumbling upon this restaurant and seeing all the staff waiting for crowds to wake up and come in for breakfast we assumed it was a good local place to try out, especially for the promised Belgian breakfast theme. While the service, food, and atmosphere were great the Travelers Breakfast and waffles in general didn't stand out in any way. Still it was much better breakfast and experience compared to motel breakfasts."

"There are places I want to come back and I don’t want to come back. I don’t want to come back to this cafe. It is not that bad but my experience was just ok. 1) During all our visit the staff was cleaning and wiping the place before they close it. It makes you rush. Even if they say “No rush!”. Also, wiping the floor while people are eating their dishes… What about all dust which starts flying everywhere? Personally for me, it is unhygienic. I felt uncomfortable. 2) The waffles were good, as well as the berry syrups. The coffee was good but wasn’t refilled. I don’t know if they practice it or not, but the price tells itself that they do. We also ordered one sandwich which I couldn’t bite because of meat inside. It was like rubber. Probably, it needs to be eaten with a fork and a knife. I don’t know. 3) This was supposed to be number 1. When we entered, I asked to be seated in a different place. The lady said ok and left. I always thought that the guests need to be seated. The table I showed to her didn’t have enough paper mats, cups and sets of forks/knives. Nobody refilled it. When we were served with food, we took what we needed from the table next to ours."

"every time I visit Solvang, I usually go to Paula's pancake house, but the wait is too long. Yes, the food is great, but we decided to try out a new spot and came across this hidden gem in the heart of Solvang. we got seated almost immediately. i can't say it's always gonna be like that. the food was absolutely delicious, huge portions shareable if you ask me. i recommend dining outside. people get to see the plates while walking near the restaurant."
