"The mission was simple: good people watching, food, and service. Mission accomplished at The Monk's Kettle. I don't drink, but Travis hooked me up with 2 of the best n/a bevs I think I've ever had! Our food was delicious. I'm also vegetarian, so huge bonus when any meat sando can be subbed for a vej patty. The black bean patty was super tasty and light enough that I don't feel bloated rn. Oh...and we were treated like queens. That was the best part. The hospitality was on point. Definitely going back!!"

"This was the second time I’ve been here and both times the burgers were way over cooked. I asked for medium rare and they both came out medium well or even well done. The pretzel bites in my mind should be soft and warm when they are served. Instead they were cold and hard. Then the server never even checked on how the food was. I told him when we were about to pay the bill how overcooked the burger was. He didn’t quite know what to see. Needless to say, I don’t plan on visiting there again anytime soon."

"A perfect addition to the neighbourhood, been coming here often in the past year. Perfect for romantic meals, family brunch or a friends party! The food is out of this world and served by wonderful hosts with charm and delight! Never miss the wings or fries but also their new grapefruit mimosa is out of this world! American football Sunday is a thing at monks! They often are filled so book ahead if you want a table! Cheers!!"

"Paid $16 for a $9 burger. Unfortunately watery Caesar salad dressing. Far overpriced pretzel bites at $6 per piece. Service was good, but didn’t make up for the lack of value in the food. The burgers, which are the hallmark of this restaurant, didn’t have any crunch whatsoever, and the buns were soggy. I liked the atmosphere in the place, but they desperately need a menu change. Location is good as well, but they need to bring the menu’s value up to the price."

"What an incredible find! Beautiful, welcoming space, warm, friendly service that makes you feel like family, and excellent food. I had a relaxing, casual lunch with a close friend. We both got the stupendously creamy, perfectly seasoned butternut squash soup sprinkled with pumpkin seeds; amazing, and just the right size. I got a terrific Caesar salad with homemade croutons & avocado & my friend got the beet salad served over little gem lettuce with goat cheese & pine nuts. Both salads were generous portions. The details everywhere are exceptional. In addition to the great food & service, bountiful natural light and fresh artwork, the enamelware serving pieces are charming, and best of all - the table is set with heavy, elegant, high quality flatware that’s a pleasure to dine with. We can’t wait to go back!"
