"Stopped by for a quick boba with family. Easy parking. Quick kiosk ordering. Milk tea bobas were just ok. Taro was the better of the other 2. I think there is better boba in Cupertino."
"REVIEW PREVIEW I am an extremely picky person and probably the most picky person you’ll ever meet. So 4 or 5 out of 5 or anything 7.5 or higher out of 10 is really an achievement for that restaurant. In that case, here is my review, by Nicolas! I would give this restaurant a 7.5/10!!! Even though it was cold and dark outside, it was warm inside Mr. Sun’s boba shack! I got the plain mango smoothie and oh my, it was pretty good! One thing though, is that the cashier/orderer was very slightly passive aggressive, which is hopefully because of the end of the day shift and although it is a reasonable and expectable occurrence, anyone can prevent it. That is why the service was 3/5. This was just one guy, and I’m sure other people are very nice. :) Next, the atmosphere and vibe was chill and cool. The bathroom was SUPER NICE AND CLEAN, and although I did not take a picture of it, it is coated in clean marble, tile, and has a high quality sink. But the toilet flush is loud, sadly. The main negative thing was the one little piece of service from that one guy, and the loud ice cream crusher that you can hear in the whole building. ."
"EXTREMELY sweet milk tea and tea with no tea flavor at all. I ordered a strawberry oolong tea, strawberry green tea, and a strawberry milk tea with all of them at 25% sugar, yet it tasted like pure concentrated fruit juice with loads of cane sugar added. Almost tastes like liquid sugar. The tea has absolutely no flavor, and it only tastes like sweet fruit juice. The strawberry flavor also tastes quite artificial. Additionally, the brown sugar boba is undercooked throughout the inside."
"came back to mr. sun for their brown sugar black milk tea and it did not disappoint! brown sugar boba milk tea ($6.00) *most important thing to know is mr. sun drinks run very sweet compared to other boba places, so i recommend going down a level from your preferred sweetness* their boba is a lighter brown color because it's handmade but it tastes the same. it already is sweetened so definitely recommend going down a notch on the sweetness scale. for example, i get 25% here when i usually get 50% at places like sunright tea studio and 30% at sharetea, gong cha, etc. honestly i feel like 0% sweet here would still be sweet enough because the boba is already coated in brown sugar. the black milk tea has a good strong tea flavor and the boba was chewy. a little sticky but still very good. the drinks here are also large and very filling! milk tea with boba comes out to $6.00 which is a bit pricey but probably comparable to other bay area places nowadays (sad). they have five stars reward system. i ordered at the counter and they made my drink in 5 minutes. the inside of this location is very spacious and clean. i see mr. sun popping up everywhere now! i'll have to try it when i'm in palo alto too."
