Peet's Coffee

"Man alive! This place has changed over time! I don't want to date myself. I've noticed that they have a high turn over rate with employees to the point where they have staffing issues in the late afternoons and evenings. They use to put out a sign that they were closing early, but now they are just closed with no sign. I don't want to ding the people working there because working there and dealing with that much smug can't be easy. This place seems to be at the crossroads of employee pay and shareholder profit. Kind of a bummer, more of a bummer that their corporate office is down 41st Street into Park Street. The capitalistic coffee grind goes on!"

"Nation wide, locally owned coffee chain. Rivals Starbucks in size, set up, options and feel. They are on every corner in this area and serve a decent cup of coffee."

"This is your typical Peet’s, with the exception of covered pasties, which is a definite plus. If the flies land, they will land on the Saran Wrap and not your food. The baristas weren’t all that friendly but not all the way rude either."

"I’ve never had the urge to leave a review at a Peets Coffee shop before. I just had the most amazing experience. I bought a Chemex drip coffee maker along with some filters and two bags of coffee. At first I wasn’t sure what to buy, luckily I happened to come across one of the most knowledgeable coffee connoisseurs I’ve ever met. I was super impressed with their knowledge, conversational skills, and how patient they were with me. I have auditory issues sometimes and they made me feel extremely comfortable even though there were moments I had trouble understanding or comprehending certain things that were being said. I don’t remember their name unfortunately but I do remember that they had a blue shirt on and they were very kind. If you know who I am talking about they definitely deserve a raise as they seem to be a key employee. Everyone else seemed equally as nice that was working there but this individual really stood out to me. If I ever am able to remember their name I’ll update this post."
