About the Business
Wild Flour Bread is a charming bakery located at 140 Bohemian Highway in Freestone, California. In response to Covid-19, we are currently open for take-out only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Our staff is dedicated to serving one customer at a time at the front door with designated roles for cashier, bread/scone server, and coffee person to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
If you are interested in joining our team, please send your resume to [email protected] or visit us in person. While there is no public access to the bakery interior, our garden is now open for customers to enjoy. We have implemented safety measures such as a portapotty and hand-washing station near the parking lot, and we kindly ask clients to respect social distancing guidelines.
Wild Flour Bread is known for our brick oven baked sourdough breads, delicious scones, and specialty coffee drinks. Established in 1998, our bakery is nestled in the picturesque Freestone Valley with breathtaking views of fields, barns, and grazing cows. Just 5 miles west of Sebastopol, our location is easily accessible and offers a serene escape from city life.
Visit us at Wild Flour Bread to experience the taste of our artisanal breads and pastries, made with love and care in our wood fired brick oven. We are open on all holiday Mondays, including July 4th, Presidents Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and MLK Day, but closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. "Wildflour was recommended to me by a Santa Rosa local and needless to say, it definitely is a must try! Known for artisanal bread and their bomb scones, wild flour has a lot of variety of bread that fits everybody’s bread cravings ranging from sourdough, savory, sweet, flat breads, and pastries. Would recommend their garlic rosemary, any of their flatbreads, and anyone of their scones! There was a line on Sunday afternoon (assuming there’s always a line lol) Parking lot is kinda small but many people just park on the side of the road anyway. 10/10 must try or make it tour pit stop if you’re in sonoma county!"

"Greatest bread. No other comment needed. Open 4 days a week (Fri-Mon) and a long fast moving line during the weekends. They have a variety of interesting breads; olive, superseeds, cheese and so on. The scones are also fantastic, my favorite is the gluten free mushroom asiago one. Drinks are passable but you should be here only for the bread anyway. Worth a detour on your California road trip or even the hour long trip from San Francisco."
