"The Hood has time and time again blown me away! Firstly, their staff is absolute amazing. They're kind, attentive, and friendly and it's always great being around their positive upbeat energy. Secondly, the food is amazing and frankly unmatched. My friends and I have had their pasta, burgers, salads, tacos, and appetizers and it's been 5 stars across the board on all! My personal favorites are their BBQ chicken salad and the sweet & spicy fries for an appetizer. There is definitely something for everyone here, even if you want to just stop in for a beer and watch the games. It's a really good vibe!"
"This is my first experience with the new location. We ordered for pick-up, I got the Thai Steak Salad and my guy ordered the Hood Burger. When I walked in to pick up our order, my first impression was that the restaurant smelled slightly of mildew rather than food, even though the building was recently remodeled. I mostly enjoyed my salad. It was refreshing, the ingredients were fresh, the peanut dressing went well with everything, and the noodles were cooked. My only real critique would be on the steak. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, but it was cut in strips along the grain of the meat, rather than against the grain. It was nearly impossible to take a bite. I needed a steak knife, but didn't have one, so I had to chew for a couple minutes to get it down. My partner said that the bun of his hamburger was not just soggy, but wet all the way through. He was told that the patty has a standard temp of medium rare, but his burger was cooked all the way through to well done. He said he wouldn't order it again. Everybody has off days, but our first experience at the Hood was mediocre. For the price ($19.50 for burger and $16.50 for salad) we would rather spend it elsewhere."
"I like what they've done with the old Banana Hutt building; the remodel is cool. I had a burger that was perfectly cooked and really tasty. The fries are good, but not as good as those at Vista Del Mar. Prices are OK, and they have a good beer selection. I'll be going back."
"Started off with deep fried pickles. They were good. I chose the Fish Tacos. They were pretty good. Lots of stuff (garnish) in the tacos.... I think was a bit overkill. It was warm.... I prefer hot. But.....It came with the best Mexican corn I've ever had. Super bomb. Wife had chicken pesto sandwich she didn't like too much. Said it was very average. Prices are pretty high. They were also out off all steak and shrimp. Even though it wasn't the best experience. Staff were very nice and attentive. I will try this place once more and try something else out on the menu."
"Great customer service! Thee waitress that served my boyfriend and I was really sweet! Wished I caught her name. I moved from eureka but when visiting I wanted to try something new and found this place. They did not disappoint. Loved both the garlic fries and blue cheese fries. My burger was also BOMB! Most places with burgers I’ve tried where I now live always serve bland burgers."
