Reviews
"Mr. Wade runs an excellent, honest automotive repair business. I'm glad to have him locally."
"Over the last couple decades I've been here a lot and have grown to trust Wade. There have been times they could have done more expensive repairs but instead suggested the more apropos repair that happened to be cheaper. They've provided tires and even a new transmission in one case at cost that are reasonable for what they did. The trust is the big reason I keep going back and will continue to do so. I highly recommend Wade's automotive."
"I had an issue with my Xterra overheating. Low coolant was the diagnosis. He is an honest mechanic, and did not change me for my visit. I highly recommend this shop."
"Not happy with this shop, I have written several reviews but they keep getting removed somehow. Not only did he not give an estimate for approval, when he gave me a final bill, it was double what 3 other shops in the area charged for the same job. On top of that, when I said he never gave me an estimate for approval, he says "pay the bill or Im putting a mechanics lean on the vehicle and I will sell it." So be careful because he doesnt give an estimate and then just charges you what he wants and threatens to sell your car. I think that is called extortion, right?"
"We took our 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 truck to Wade to fix an issue with the front end due to the "death wobble". The initial repairs, we thought were done well, which included upper ball joints and steering stabilizer, except the front end alignment because the truck continued to pull to the right and shouldn't have. Shortly after getting the truck back, we hit a bump going down the road only to have the death wobble happen while our family was in the vehicle this time. We took it back to Wade, who said that I needed a dual steering stabilizer instead of the original one he put on to fix the problem. I picked the truck up AGAIN, and yet AGAIN, hit a bump and have the death wobble. I take it back to Wade, AGAIN, he then says that because I have a 2" leveling kit (not a lift kit, a leveling kit) that I now need an adjustable track bar. The day I picked the truck up, all it did was pop and shook. I took it back to Wade and there were several loose bolts and the track bar was barely attached to the truck. They tightened the bolts. Because of how much money I had spent with him up to this point, he says that he will only charge for the part and no labor. Come to find out, he charged me well more than the amount of the part so he would make something off of the repair, once we did our own research on it after the fact. Long story short, after months of this track bar failing, blowing bushings, and taking the truck for a second opinion, Wade had not only put to small a track bar on it, but didn't properly install the bar or do a correct alignment. He begged us to try him again and he would "properly fix it this time without costing me any more money". I did my own research and found there was a pitman support kit that you could buy that is suppose to fix this dreaded DEATH WOBBLE. Wade researched it as well and agreed that this would help for sure with this junky track bar he had us buy, and he installed it free of charge (ya think at this point???). We picked up the truck again, hoping this time he fixed it only for the track bar to bust into pieces pulling into a parking spot and we had to have it towed to another mechanic and spend ANOTHER $500 to have it fixed correctly. My husband contacted Wade about a refund on the part (track only) that was now only 2 months old only for Wade to cuss him and hang up on him. This has left such a bad taste in our mouth that we have turned him over to the BBB and Consumer Affairs for part reimbursement. My suggestion before you use this mechanic is get a second opinion if you can and do your own research ahead of time, because he will take your money and not warranty his work, then demand you continue to bring the vehicle to him over and over and over again and keep charging you for parts. This went on from November 2014 to May 2015. Trust me, your families life isn't worth it."
