"I've been looking for a hsirdresser for a long time and i found Andy here and he's absolutely the best! Being from Europe, i know!! Doesn't matter the type/style of hair you want, he can do it!!"
"I have been a customer for over 1 year, always very happy with my service from Kayla. She left and booked me with another stylist, my appointment was moved without any attempt to contact me. I found out the day prior which was a Sunday so unable to reach them until the day of. They confirmed they moved my appointment, but were unable to fit me in with anyone to fit my schedule and didn't seem too concerned about it. Pretty much I'm sorry, take it or leave it. Didn't really seem like my business mattered, so I'll take it elsewhere."
"I’m entirely unimpressed by the owner, Steve Mantegani. He doesn’t value his customers or honor his word. And he hangs onto money unbelievably tightly and doesn’t seem to have much business sense. I scheduled a hair appointment with Andy on November 30th and I paid a $100 deposit. On December 2nd I called 5th Avenue Salon to cancel my appointment and asked if I would be able to get my deposit back since my appointment was still 4 days away. I spoke to both Andy and the receptionist and they both assured me I would. The owner, Steve Mantegani, emailed me and asked for my card info to put the deposit back on. I responded to his email with my info but never got a response from him. A few days later I asked if he had refunded me and he let me know he would only give me half my deposit back. I told him I had the phone call with Andy and the receptionist recorded and he said in that case he would give me store credit for half of the deposit. I said that isn’t what I was told over the phone. He told me to send him the recording because if what I was telling him was true- he would give me a full refund. After I sent him the recording it took him a long time to get back to me. And once he finally did he told me that he wouldn’t refund me- and wouldn’t even let me use the $50 as store credit to buy some hair products or to get a haircut. I would definitely not recommend 5th Avenue Salon to anyone at this point. And I truly feel sorry for the employees who work here because it would suck so much to work for such a rude tightwad."
"I just took a chance and came into this salon today after not having a stylist for so long. I was lucky enough to get Andy and he did an amazing job. He was so friendly and taught me all kinds of techniques to try at home. He will be my go to from now on."
"I moved to the area about a year ago and hadn't found anyone who could cut my hair the way I like it. I stopped in here on impulse last night after the street fair and got Andy. Soooo glad I did. I've found my stylist!! He's really, really good, he's personable and (most importantly in my book) he LISTENS. Definitely going back and HIGHLY recommend. He did an amazing job on my hair (and I'm pretty damn picky about how it's cut...lol) See you in about 6 weeks Andy :)"
