"Dr. Pitts visits my local dentist office once a month to extract wisdom teeth and perform other oral surgical procedures. My dentist and his staff talked about how excellent Dr. Pitts is for weeks. I went in hoping for the best - (I have anxiety around medical procedures.) In the 5 minutes I spent with Dr. Pitts, it was clear that he had zero knowledge of me, my chart, or the treatment plan (agreed upon by myself and my dentist's office.) He was disrespectful, unprofessional and abrasive. He kept saying that my treatment plan was "ridiculous" (x3) and that I needed to be sedated to have the tooth removed. He acted as if it was an imposition to even be talking to me about any other options. While Dr. Pitts' resume is impressive, his bedside manner and person-to-person interaction could use some work. Do not go to this guy if you have to talk to him in any way. There are other excellent options in Nashville."
