"Our server was sweet. Everything came to the table in a timely manner. However, all the food was bland. The salsa had no flavor, too much onion. We added a bunch of salt and pepper to it to make it decent. The kids chicken burrito was so watery and bland. My burrito was bland as well as my husband's tacos."

"The empty restaurant should have been a sign of what was to be expected. It’s rare to see a Mexican restaurant with no customers at all. The waitress did not understand English and my order was incorrect. The only thing I enjoyed as is was the rice. The salsa was decent after adding salt. Without, it had little flavor and even less spice. I order a cheese quesadilla with beef that had very little cheese. It was also not cooked correctly. All of the ground beef was undercooked. The burrito also had very little cheese. I asked for pico while ordering, but it was forgotten. The enchilada had very little flavor and the sauce on top lacked flavor. By far the worst Mexican food I had ever had. Maybe being from Texas spoiled me."

"Food was bad. I ordered El Ambres. $16 and look what I got. "Maybe" lunch portion, but for that price, should have been a lot more food. Bacon was raw, food had no spices, and they gave me corn tortillas which were ratty with holes and no way to be usable. I wont go back. Ugh."

"My GOD, this is by far the MOST DELICIOUS Mexican food in the city! Even just the salsa is mind blowing compared to basically all other salsa I've ever had and the chips were clearly made there and were entirely fresh(this was at dinner time). For their mixed drinks and such they also DO NOT skimp on the alcohol and have awesome bartenders. I can not rave about this place enough, I mean I'm absolutely blown away. It's heartbreaking that they don't get more business because they definitely deserve it and everybody that passes this place up are robbing themselves of a PHENOMENAL dining experience. Some employees are brand new though, so pretty please be patient with them. They are having some renovations at the moment as well, but there's still plenty of seating. Btw please excuse the pictures of partially eaten food, we couldn't resist. My only real complaint is that they were out of some ingredients for some mixed drinks, but that's hardly worth even mentioning."

"Popped in here for a quick lunch. Service was OK and the food was all right. I had a burrito and a couple of corn steak tacos. Could use a little additional seasoning and maybe a little char in the steak but it was OK."
