"This spot has been more restaurants/bars than I can count, but this one is definitely my favorite. Our server was sweet and charming, the food was out quickly, very good quality and great flavors. The eggplant fries app was crispy outside and lovely inside, and went well with the aoli. Caesar salad was flavorful, and NOT overflowing with too much dressing. Nashville hot sandwich was just hot enough and amazing with the house made ketchup. The fig and brie burger was so tasty and the jalapeno and arugula were beautifully fresh. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were just the right amount of crisp. The music catered to an older crowd, but the atmosphere was classy. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and we will be coming back!"
"Very nice. Excellent food and interesting menu. We had the special appetizer Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls and they were maybe the best I have ever had. Food was all cooked on point. Soup of the Day was Chicken Chowder and it was great. Service was excellent. We had a party of seven and the hostesses went out of their way to comfortably accommodate us. Overall, great experience."
"We had a great dinner here on Thursday night. Our friends are locals, we’re from out of town. We enjoyed appetizers of fried mushrooms and fried pickles and jalapeños, both were excellent. I had the salad and they lightly cooked the salmon per my request which not everyone will do. The atmosphere and the server was excellent."
"We have driven I-65 through Bowling Green many many times but have never ventured down to the actual city center of Bowling Green. This was a charming little restaurant right off the central square that was completely full of happy looking patrons. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I opted for a daily special of Jambalaya with shrimp and mussels (which I knew could be taking a risk if the restaurant isn't good at sourcing fresh seafood in a landlocked state and or the chef is not skilled at cooking shellfish). I'm happy to report not only was the seafood fresh and delicious, it was expertly cooked in that all the mussels were plump and juicy with no fishy smell or taste and all the shells were scrubbed well, and the shrimp were cooked just through perfectly so that they were equally juicy and tender. My wife wanted something light and got the GT Salad with grilled chicken to ensure she had room to enjoy dessert at our next stop, Chaney's Dairy. The appetizer of fried pickles and jalapenos was clearly fresh-made to order and was very tasty."
"Excellent local BG dining! Great food and drinks. Casual atmosphere and friendly staff complement the experience at Gerard’s. Lunch menu is a lite but very good sampling of what you can get here. Dinner is best had with a reservation as this place is popular in the evenings, especially on the weekend. Really enjoyed dining here."
