"Richie has his food down to a science and anything you get will probably be terrific. I am a big fan of his catfish plate and his chicken wings. The wings are probably one of the best I’ve had. (and I’ve ate a lot of different wings) His hot sauce has the perfect amount of heat, pepper, and sweetness to balance it. It leaves a nice tingle to your mouth even 30 minutes later. The catfish is great, but might not be enough food for a big appetite even with rice and coleslaw on the side. Coleslaw was fresh, crispy, and tasted good too. Most people will take advantage of calling in and picking it up to go. The restaurant is quiet and has a very basic seating area. The last time I had Richies food was back around 2006 when he was still located in Madison. He hasn’t lost his touch or his high level of service and polite demeanor. If you’ve never had the pleasure of eating at Richies, give it a try! You will likely enjoy it as much as I do!"

"If any place was ever worth the wait, this is definitely it. We ordered the Richie's Burger, and a dozen hot wings. Got them home, and the food was still hot, and oh man was it good. The "perfect hot" was just that, spicy and full of flavor but without the face melting hotness (he does have a hotter sauce, but I didn't try them this time). The wings were large, not tiny like you get at the chain stores, and evenly covered and so very juicy. I will definitely be making this my go-to spot for wings from here on out, and their burgers/etc were also very good. They are pretty much a 1 (or 2) person show, so it does take them a bit longer to get the food ready, but that seems to be because they take so much care preparing it. Wish I was able to give more than 5 stars, as I have been hunting for a good wing place that doesn't "smoke" their wings, and this place definitely lived up to all the good buzz I had heard of it."
