Reviews
"First time here. Have lived in Oak Ridge over 15 years. Have past this place million times, at least. Never again. An authentic New York City style "greasy spoon" eatery. A true "Brooklyn" style reubin served on a STEAMED bun!"
"For the price, thought the portions would be bigger. (We ordered large vs regular) Food was good, not great. Staff was super nice. Service was quick. It has a fun diner vibe where locals go to congregate. We’d like to return and try the items people rave about (steak in a sack & burgers) next time."
"Bread is super saoggy. Small and large subs are less than an inch apart. Roast beef sub is cooked so well done, I'm pretty sure it was just their thinly sliced steak. Roast beef should not be gray, it should be pink. The photo is half of the large sub. Couldn't even finish it was so soggy"
"My cheeseburger was awesome! Large, fresh, and tasty. The beef flavor really came through, which is rare in a burger. Service was fast and friendly. This is a no-frills eatery, so set your expectations accordingly. The food is the star."
"First time visiting Billy’s in 25 years and I can honestly say that this is STILL a top-3 diner/deli. The burger was perfection; there’s just no way to say it. I don’t live in Oak Ridge anymore, but I wish they were open on weekends because I would find a way to come here once a month. But as is usually the case, it’s the SERVICE here that makes it worth my time and money. This is the type of place that deserves to be on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on Food Network."
