"Our recent visit to Los Barriles restaurant was marred by the unprofessional behavior of a single staff member. During our visit, we encountered an employee as we were enjoying lunch and at the checkout counter who made racially insensitive comments. This was not our first experience with him, he had previously made similar comments during a previous visit. We didn’t bother to say anything on the first occasion because we know who we are and such comments only reflect the ignorance of the person making them. However, on this occasion he interrupted our lunch and proceeded to make inappropriate comments about the restaurant's diverse clientele. We were disappointed with his behavior, and we decided not to engage any further. However, my husband later informed me that the staff member asked him during checkout if we were headed to rob someone. Why would you ask someone that? Is that a question all customers are subjected to no matter the race. As black professionals we hold ourselves to a higher standard, and we expect the same from the staff of businesses we patronize. Unfortunately, this staff member's behavior was entirely inappropriate for a restaurant with great food and otherwise excellent staff. It is our hope that the management team will take steps to ensure that this type of behavior will not be tolerated in the future."

"The food was good! I got the Birria tacos and they were large (not street tacos). The beans tasted great! In my opinion, the prices were very reasonable."

"Coming from a California and Texas perspective, this place is top notch! I am Hispanic just to add authenticity. I had the Birria tacos and refried beans with Spanish rice and my wife had the Buddha bowl…each were great! The chips and salsa are addicting. The atmosphere is alive and the inside venue is up to date. The service was quick and friendly. We are visiting from out of town and this will be a place we come back to for sure."

"Edit #2 - Ok. So, I've had numerous meals here and I have to say that this really is the best Mexican you can get in town. There are close runner ups, very close. But, ultimately Los Barriles is the best imo. Edit - It's unfortunate. Los Barriles have raised their margarita prices. I wish the interior matched the higher prices. The food is still amazing. The drinks are still amazing. It's just now you get what you pay for, haha. Service has been hit or miss as of lately. Again, the food and drinks are incredible here ---------------- My family and I will definitely be coming back. I'm not sure how long this place has been here, but it's our first time trying it out. Absolutely loved their margaritas and the adorable/colorful glass it comes in. No janky plastic cactus looking cup that some Mexican restaurants will serve you. No no, this is a beautiful hand colored glass cup. It really makes a difference in presentation. The food, salsa and cheese dip were all really good. The chips were stale however. Letting that slide as it could have been just that batch. Our server was really nice and prompt. The atmosphere was just enough. String lights, wooden posts and a beautiful bar greets you right when you walk in. The tacos pastor was the best pastor I've personally had. It was true BBQ. Loved it. Definitely coming back!"
