O'Reilly Auto Parts

"I went in to this O’reilly’s for extra long jumper cables. Since my the ones I have were standard and to short. When I walked in, with my roommate I started walking around the store. I found the cables. A man at the register says can I help you. I politely tell him no we are good. He proceeds to walk closer and say I can help you. What are you looking for (condescending). Mind you at this point I already found what I needed. I decided to entertain him and tell what I needed. He proceeds to tell my roommate and I that they do not sell extra long jumper cables and I just need to move my car closer to hers. My roommate says isn’t that the extra long ones right there. He played dumb and said no ( it was). After he was trying to tell me I needed to turn my car around and then I could jump it and the way my battery sits doesn’t matter. Then told me the price was high (as if I couldn’t afford it). Then told me to go to rural king or Walmart. I just told him you know what I don’t need them anymore I’ll go else where. My roommate walked out with me and we both felt that we were treated like we were stupid since we both are women. I know good and well what is under the hood of my car and how to work on my vehicle and other peoples too, I’m not stupid. I will never come back to this store I would rather travel to a further store and get better customer service then come back."

"The employees at this Oreilly are extremely kind and very dedicated to their work. I was traveling inter-state and my dashboard started showing a check engine light, I got to the next exit (112), looked up the closes Oreilly. Once I got to their store, they showed some great empathy and helped me out by scanning the dashboard and it turned out that one of the spark plugs was defective as well as the part that plugs into it. They shared some instructions on how to replace it and got it fixed on the spot. Thank you for your professionalism."

"I was having problems getting my car started and had to have someone jump it off. I went to O'Reilly's where they tested the battery. They told me the battery was in excellent shape along with the alternator. Well a few days later my car once again would not start. Turns out the battery was not in good shape after I had someone else take a look at it. I also had a friend pick up a new battery from O'Reilly and apparently they will not install a new battery due to some issue with my car's security system from what my friend told me. Yet, Walmart Automotive would have been willing to have installed it for me. I will not be using O'Reilly Auto Parts ever again. If you need a new battery purchase it from some other Automotive store (place) such as "Walmart Automotive" where they are also willing to install it as well. This place sucks and their technicians do not know what they are doing."

"I worked for a competitor in the past and I am learning to appreciate O'Reilly's more and more. No matter where I'm working I seem to get better service than the other guys. Even for small purchases the employees are always helpful even when looking for local information about local eating establishments. I use to say look for the public service vehicles to find a good local spot. Now I say stop in at O'Reilly's and ask the counter person. Don't forget to get your parts and supplies either."

"These guys are RUDE. They really don’t know anything unless their computer tells them. I have called and gone in on multiple occasions and it didn’t matter. If you know what you’re looking for and don’t need help then this place is fine. If you go in asking for help or needing advice go somewhere else!"
