"Bad experience. They were recommended by Lowes Extended Warranty to do wnty service on my dishwasher. A cleaning problem started a year before the warranty expired. I had this company out numerous times and they failed to fix the problem. Then the warranty ended, with the cleaning problem still not repaired. Then Lowe’s Warranty Service refused to pay to repair the dishwasher,, even though the problem started while in the full warranty period. Shame on you Lowe’s Warranty people (who can barely speak English). And shame on you Appliance Repair Service in Powell TN for repeatedly charging me for install labor, even tho your tech admitted he was replacing the wrong parts, and for not going ahead and repairing the original problem under wnty. So, I’m throwing my nice 5 year old Kirchen Aid dishwasher in the dumpster and buying a new Meile dishwasher. Such is life."
"This company is unscrupulous. They ripped us off $500.00 and did not fix the problem. Kitchenaid double cell oven, top oven stopped working after the power to the house went off. Two codes appeared on oven panel. Steve, the repairman who was sent here looked at the codes then said it needed a new sisterboard. That's what he replaced, turned the power back on and left. Two weeks later the power went off in house b/c substation during a windy storm. This oven did the exact same thing! It is giving the same codes and does not work again. They would not answer phone or messages my husband left on the phone. We finally made an appt through a website and the computer put us on the schedule. Steve the same repairman who was here before called 30 minutes ahead and was asking to order a locking part. Husband said he needed to come and see what was causing the problem. Steve came into house, argued and finally said, "You are out of warranty on the work that he had done" and walked out the front door. We are out $500 and the oven is in the same shape it was before Appliance Repair Service Inc came to our house. Shady group of people. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF like we did. January 6, 2024 I stand by what I stated. The first service dated 1/04/23 our oven control board had a code of F5E1 error code. That is exactly what the service person saw when he inspected. We did not know the meaning of the code. He told us the oven needed a new "sister board." Invoice dated 1/04/23 Invoice #99038 which we were charged $500.51. On the invoice from this company it states: "Customers complaint F5E1 error code....." 1 WP8301848 $196.48 labor. 246.65 shipping 15.00 Sales Tax 42.38 Total $500.51 The repair code we later learned was NOT for a sister board, it was an error code indicating the locking mechanism was the problem. The same error code is still displayed today January 2024. He sold us something that was not even indicated. It was the locking mechanism on the oven door from the very beginning, and the tech knew it the first day he was in our property. There was no reason to replace a sister board. We have ATT phone records of the number of times that we called and never got any response from your company. The only reason a tech was sent to our house 10/10/23 was because after repeated calls to your company with absolutely no response, we arranged an appointment through the computer system. The invoice from the first service call demonstrates we were sold something other than what the error code informed the repairman."
"I ordered the part for my Cabrio Whirlpool dryer door but then could not install it myself. Steve came out same day I called ASRI and took care of the problem in about 15 minutes. I liked the fact that someone actually answered the phone when I called. I did not have to leave a message and then wait for a callback."
"Our dishwasher was not draining so ARSI was sent out for repair through our home warranty plan. The tech that was sent out almost immediately determined that the dishwasher was fine and working properly but that it was a “ plumbing issue” and the drain line was clogged. We felt uneasy about this rather quick explanation but went ahead and had a plumbing company come out to address the clogged drain line. The plumber that came out said there was no clog in the line and he didn’t know what ARSI was referring to. The plumber was very thorough and even tried to see if he could get the dishwasher to drain but it wasn’t pumping water out and he suspected the pump was bad on the dishwasher. So back to ARSI we went. We had to wait another week to have the tech come back out and on the morning of the appointment he called and asked if it was the same problem and if so he would not be coming out to fix it since the plumber didn’t replace the clogged line. I spoke with a manager who was no help and didn’t ask for more information or help me problem solve. We suspect that this company is simply scamming the home warranty programs without actually properly diagnosing or repairing appliances."
"*** Update- We were contacted by this company, and that says a lot. Thanks for reaching out to us to work on the issue at hand. Funny how the service diagnostic price went up when we said we didn't want to fix the ice maker. Kind of misleading when we were told it would be be a certain price from Whirlpool, but amazing how the technician said it was past 20 mins, so he had to charge more, oh and with sales tax. Don't think it is a flat fee, that's a joke. So, with that being said, it was $50+ over what we were quoted, just for a diagnostic fee. Cannot blame anyone else for your company's mistake with not notifying the customer upfront about the "extra" minutes fee, but I'm sure you will try."
