"I tried this place for the first time and tried a variety of things to see what I liked but I really only wanted to try the place because I really wanted gumbo.....and it was SO BAD. The gumbo tasted like red beans and rice instead of gumbo with with roux. The sausage tasted like those things you ate from a can when you were 6, it had the weird tiny shrimp that looks like worms that Captain D's has in it's gumbo. It was honestly inedible and 50x worse then I would I would ever expect from a place with the name Cajun steamer. The cheesecake comes with 3 slices, only 1 actually had cheesecake in it, the other two looked like just deep fried brown sugar. I'm usually not this harsh but when I actually have to throw away expensive food because everyone refuses to eat it, including myself, I feel like that speaks for itself"
"The food was delicious and presented well. The menu had lots of unique choices. We ordered a side of fried okra as an appetizer. Sooooo good! We will probably order one for each next time. The beignets were the best I've been able to find around Nashville. We loved Kameron, our server! He answered our many questions and was so friendly."
"Nice relaxing place to get some good seafood and drinks. Clean establishment with friendly staff.we came for a late lunch and ordered the very delicious Créole Seafood Dip, which is accompanied by toasted bread chips. For the main course, I had the Pastalaya, which was tasty, but I wish it had some good kick to it. We also ordered the perfectly balanced Caribbean Blackened Mahi and topped it all off with the Acadian Bread Pudding , which was amazing. Definitely plan on returning to try some other dishes."
"The food was great and so was the service. Katie, our waitress was more than just helpful. She was down to earth real, treated us like we come in there daily, and represented nothing short of southern hospitality. She brought a slew of samples on the different drinks that are offered during an ALL Day Happy Hour on Tuesday. Then, she even spoke with the cook to see if they would serve a dozen fried oysters that I had been craving. It's not on the menu, but since it wasn't overly busy, they were willing to make it for me. I'm so full, I've literally forgotten what we ordered for our dinner entrees! I snapped a pic, ate half, and took the rest home. Great place, all around!"
"First time here. Did not disappoint. I had the blackened redfish Rockefeller and hubby had shrimp po boy. Katie was our server and she was awesome! We definitely will be back!"
