"McDonald's does better BBQ. Thought I would give it a try but was very disappointed. Being from Texas I know good BBQ, we feed our dogs better than this slop. Way overcooked and the meat was full of fat and grissel. I know there is supposed to be some on there but there is supposed to be some meat also. Just saying I didn't eat but a couple of bites and threw the rest away."

"The food and service was great. Large portions, decent prices. Best items for me was BBQ bologna sandwich (fantastic). BBQ pork was good too. Beans were a standout! Awesome."

"I think Mississippi and Memphis have different ideas about BBQ. We season our meat in Mississippi. DineIn Experience: The ribs were tender and tough. They had too much bark on them, which made the top layer of meat tough to eat. Under the bark was tender meat. I asked for sauce on the side because I like to taste the flavors of the meat but I definitely had to dip the tender meat in the sauce. The sauce is good. The baked beans were straight out of the can. I'm sure the okra is prebreaded and came in a bag but it was good. The caramel cake was the best part of the meal. It was buttery and moist. Someone took their time to make that caramel too. The staff was courteous and seemed to have friendly relationships with the regulars. The wait time for food is fairly quick. The establishment was clean. There is Memphis related memorabilia on the wall but it's not overbearing - nice touch. I heard a lady say her mom sent her across town just for their cole slaw so I may give them another try. I think I'll probably order a smoked or polish sausage instead of the ribs."

"Local place in Hickory Hill just outside of Memphis. Ribs were tender and sauce was perfect! Smoked sausage and cole slaw was delicious. Highly recommend will definitely come back when in the area. Great folks! Very friendly and humble."
