"Everything was nice. I took my grandson for lunch after school and even though the street was cut off we were able to manage a pathway there. He ordered chicken wings, fries & slaw with lemonade. I had chicken tenders with fries & Cole slaw. Definitely will be back!"

"This was our first time trying Gus chicken. I loved that they employed mostly young teenagers/adults. This would give them something productive to do. My waiter was a young male. He was very friendly and willing to assist. I think he may have been autistic. If he wasn't, my apologies but that was actually what I liked most about my experience. They gave him a chance to work and he's doing an excellent job. The food was pretty good too."

"From the silent traveler to all of you. This is the famous Gus's chicken in Memphis. Memphis is known for a lot of things good history good people the food but there is definitely one place you need to stop at and that is Gus's. I was told about this place and had to check it out myself The name of the restaurant speaks for itself. The chicken is beyond delicious and juicy. Could not get enough of it to compliment the chicken that is one of the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had in a restaurant. Almost better than mine when I make it at home. It almost seems like that macaroni and cheese was cooked on a grill. The season was just right and added enough cheese to make it juicy but not overwhelming. And the fried okra definitely spot on. I will tell you if you are a super healthy eater this place is not for you but if you want some good feel like you're back home with your mama this is the place to go. The service was nice and friendly seem like family you ain't seen in a long time almost like a family reunion.
