"Had a lovely experience here for a business dinner. The waiter (I think his name was James) was very thoughtful and attentive. He checked with the group to see if anyone had any dietary restrictions/allergies and brought me a menu that was entirely vegetarian! They had a good selection of options. Overall great food in a beautiful environment!"

"This restaurant hit all the points I look for in upscale dining. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the staff is attentive, kitchen was within sight but not noisy at all, and most importantly, the food was amazing. We went right at opening and were seated right away. There is a separate gluten-free menu that has plenty to choose from. We chose corn bread with whipped ricotta, and i chose the New York strip, medium, with smoked eggplant. It was fantastic! Dessert was a tasty Pot De Creme with strawberry. Overall a very enjoyable experience and worth a return next time we are in town."

"A Taste of Tuscany in Downtown Memphis! It’s the little touches; fine stemware/silverware, all pastas made fresh in house, extensive wine list, and a fresh rotating menu all served in a wonderful setting. Not to be missed!"

"Catherine and Mary's is a place I will definitely be recommending to all of my friends. The food is absolutely exquisite. Their menu is well thought out. The small plates, especially the artichoke, was phenomenal! The pastas taste very authentic. I had the radiatore and loved it! The halibut was a showstopper - Cooked perfectly and paired with mushrooms and a delicious sauce. 10/10 Service is always amazing here. They are accommodating and very knowledgeable about the dishes. Located on Main Street near Beale, it's the perfect spot for any occasion. I love that it's not too formal here but a little more upscale than casual. Also, check out the drinks! They make fabulous cocktails and mocktails!"

"It had been a bit since my last visit here. Unfortunately, my memories of the place were better than my last visit. The menu has changed, not a bad thing, it's more seasonal now. The portions seem smaller and the prices are higher. With the price I had some expectations that were not met, the lack of morels in the seasonal artichoke salad, the bits of shell in the shucked oysters. They are little things that I feel lowered the elevated status of this restaurant. The service was attentive, though seemed new. The space was comfortable and it was very bright and welcoming. Given the Memphis food scene, Catherine & Mary's has a lot of competition and I hope they are able to make changes for the better."
