Reviews
"Boscos has great vibes—the interior is warm and cozy and there is a fantastic patio during warm weather. One of the best bar scenes on the square. The food and drinks, however, are incredibly mediocre and overpriced. With such a tidy menu, you’d expect more from the offerings. A recent visit included the spinach & artichoke dip app which was good but at $15 for at most 8 oz., overpriced. Thin, lightly topped individual pizzas for $16-17. An over-cooked fish sandwich and (the unlikely favorite of the table) a sizable grilled chicken sandwich with plentiful fries for $15. Sandwiches seem to be a better value than the pizzas. Table service was lackluster. Come for the bar scene and maybe a light bite."
"You cannot go wrong with Boscos. Though the pizza is a classic and never disappoints, the appetizers and sandwiches and even the steaks are just as delicious. The desserts are also all incredible, especially the skillet cookie and brownie. Besides all of the food, the service is truly amazing and the overall vibe is always perfect."
"Great experience with my partner here. We enjoyed the eggplant manicotti, the snapper jambalaya, and the Cooper Street Old-Fashioned. Would recommend this midtown Memphis staple for couples looking for a date night, or people interested in the historic craft brewery community."
"Had our Anniversary Lunch here. Sat on Patio as the weather was perfect. Service was great. Food came out quickly. Reasonably priced as well. $94 with tip. 2 beers, Calamari appetizer, Center Cut Ribeye that we split and Creme Brule’ for dessert. $78.20 before tip. Great food and great selection of beer as well in Memphis’ Overton Square!"
"It was just okay for the price. We ordered the steak and fries and the snapper jambalaya. The steak was flavorful, but tough and kind of stringy - not a great quality of meat. The jambalaya was fine. The fish was good, but the jambalaya was mushy. Again, decent flavor but texture not so great. We got dessert - the brownie and the bread pudding. The brownie was great - huge! Definitely order it to share. The bread pudding was meh...just okay. Very tough like a solid ball of bread. They also automatically added an 18% gratuity to the bill. No where on the menu or in the restaurant did I see this posted. It wasn't a big deal-we usually tip 20%-but it felt "sneaky" which rubbed me the wrong way. Unlikely we'll be back for food. The beer is good though!"
