Sonic Drive-In

"I don't even want to give one star. My family and I eat at Sonic a lot. Its usually a great place to go. Food is good and the people are friendly. On the evening of January 16 I went to get food from Sonic. It was a horrible experience. From start to finish it was a bad experience. There were only three customers and it took around 15 minutes before anyone took my order, I almost left them, wish now that I would have. The person who took my order wasn't friendly at all. It was was like I was bothering her. She made me repeat everything I said, it was like a joke to her. The girl who brought me the food was not friendly at all. I was parked next to a black GMC SUV. You could smell the weed coming from the vehicle. Out pops this guy who is wearing sonic uniform and he goes inside, probably the cook because the food was terrible. Everything was cold. I ask for mustard pickles and onion on my burgers, no onion on any of them. My onion rings were old cold and in little pieces. The biggest one was about the size of a quarter and they were so hard you couldn't eat them. The following afternoon I called and the manager was rude as well. All he wanted to know is why I was bothering him with it and why I didn't call the night before. I've never written a letter like this in my life. "As with any of our Sonic Drive Inns the star system fluctuates. Depending upon the time of the day/night you are there, which crew is on the clock, and how the weather is for the day determines your service, food, and atmosphere. This day things could've been better."

"There's not much to say for the atmosphere since you just sit in your vehicle. The food's pretty good for fast food. I like the variety that they have and the different options and specials that they have. The new menu items, like the pretzel twist, is really good, but they always forget your cheese sauce so make sure you check for that before you leave. I like that I can order through the app and get anything from the drink menu for half price at any time and not just during happy hour. Most of the car hops are friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. It's convenient to order through the app because then I can place my order and it's ready just a few minutes after I get there. I would recommend them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's a good stop for just a snack if that's what you want. They have good ice cream too."

"We went to Sonic today for something to cool us down as it was nearly 100 degrees out (but felt much hotter). They were pretty busy as you could imagine however the girls were bustin out orders so fast! I just want to say I really appreciate how hard these girls work to keep our thirst quenched especially in this weather! Great experience... This location at Nettleton and Matthews is my favorite... Always great, fast service. Thanks again ladies!"

"Typical Sonic Drive-In restaurant. They have good fountain drinks and can be cheap during happy hour or using the app. The service is usually quick and I have never had a problem when visiting this location. During peak hours it can be difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. It is next to a coffee shop that gets really busy in the morning and can block one of the entrances/exits to it. Overall, not a bad fast food stop. Edit: I really wish Sonic would mark off stalls that have non-working units. It's annoying pulling into one that doesn't work when it could be blocked with a cone or some other object."
