"The store is regularly understaffed and without inventory. I can't think of a prescription that I had in the last year that was filled same day. And, whether you go inside or through the drive-thru, there is always a wait. Some days it appears that they have a single person working both the in-store and drive-thru line. Walgreens used to be a reliable pharmacy. I'm not sure why Blue Cross makes it a "preferred" pharmacy. It certainly does not have anything to do with how well they take care of customers. But, we are stuck."
"If I could give zero stars, I would. They rarely have medication in stock, even if they say that it's ordered for you it's not, the prescriptions are NEVER ready on time, the drive thru habitually takes 20-30 minutes to get through, and the staff doesn't know what they're talking about 90% of the time. They never call you with updates, you have to call them and wait on hold every time for 15-20 minutes AT LEAST to babysit them and make sure that your prescription gets updated. I've used other Walgreens pharmacies when I haven't been able to wait any longer for this one to get their act together and it's always WAY easier to get prescriptions ordered and filled. If the hours and location weren't convenient, I wouldn't have stayed with this Walgreens this long."
"If I could give 0 stars, I would. There is some issue EVERY time I try to fill a prescription here. It’s not ready, there’s 4 cars in the drive through (which will take an hour and a half at least) and then try to go inside and there’s 10 people waiting who are ALSO having problems. Not to mention, one of my scripts needs a phone call to request a refill due to it being a controlled substance but you literally CANT get through to them on the phone because you’re on hold for 30 mins only to be hung up on. My other prescription I couldn’t get refilled here because they can’t manage to put them in my online account to request a refill. It took my mother several times to try to get through on the phone and she still couldn’t. She called the downtown Naperville location and was on hold for 30 mins but at least they didn’t hang up on her. I don’t have hours to wait on the phone for refills every month or time to stop in an wait in line just to request a refill. This pharmacy’s only saving grace is the red head male pharmacy tech who is SO nice and understanding. 5 stars for him. 0 stars for Walgreens. I have transferred all my prescriptions to Meijer. And my family and friends have done the same."
"I had a terrible experience again, I showed up five minutes early for my vaccination shot. I was greeted 20 minutes after that to be clear we had three people in the same family set up for vaccination shots so we had three appointments at 10 AM, 1015 and 10:30 AM. They didn’t acknowledge me Intel 1015 And I communicated that I was hoping to get out by 1030 and they said “ Maybe you should realize it takes longer than 15 minutes instead of rushing us” How dare you say that to a customer when you don’t acknowledge that customer for 20 minutes? I mean, it’s obvious that these employees are under stress and they’re embarrassed, so they’re predisposition to blame the client rather than think that they do everything right! I will say I do have empathy for the employees because they’re clearly understaffed! I had made a new appointment at the CVS at target on 59. My appointment was at 10 AM with all three parties and by 10:06 I was back in the car and all three of us were Vaccinated, please consider using CVS,"
"The Pharmacy here needs a massive rethink and retraining for all staff involved. I understand it can be busy (especially at end of business day). But walking in to pick up a 2 day old script and being told "We're not ready yet." is stupid. I had a script called in Monday 09/25/23 at 9 am. Called multiple times, partially ready. So I went in and picked up the partial. Finally, today THURSDAY 09/28/23 I walk in at 7:30 AM. And get told "It's not ready". 3 business days and about 42 hours of pharmacy "open" time. This is insane. I got medication for my throat infection. They got me the pain med first, but left me without the med I REALLY needed to kill the infection!"
