Reviews
"Great place to see lots of wildlife. Tons of birds. Tons of alligators. Saw a bobcat. Only real problem is that mosquitos are completely unbearable."
"It was a spur of the moment decision on our way home. My daughter was visiting from California. It did not disappoint! Most of the water is dried up, but we did see a hog a few birds, a mom alligator, and a bunch of her babies!"
"Take bug spray, the mosquitoes are bad and this is only January and they are bad. If you want to see birds and alligators there’s a lot here."
"Lots of birds to see in the spring and fall. Go early (7 am) as there is more activity. Watch for deerflies as they are relentless during the summer. Insect repellent does not work."
"A wonderful place to watch water fowls. The GPS location is actually just the entrance. The office building is a few miles further down. The office is closed due to Covid but there is a roadside kiosk for maps. I suggest taking the auto tour. I saw a good variety of birds in large numbers between stop 1 and 5. However, almost nothing for the rest of the stops. Maybe due to the season?"
