"Not a hiking spot. This is probably good for a picnic if you have small kids, but not worth it if you want to hike in nature. The trail is very short and very poorly maintained. We ended up here after the park we were going hike at was unexpectedly closed."

"A great place to find a different variety of winter birds, but this park needs more love. The bathrooms are clean and adequate, but the walking trails are very neglected. One trail is blocked off. I got permission from a park worker to go back and take pictures of the dilapidated boardwalk which is unsafe to walk on. With more work, this would be a great park. The current condition is unfortunate."

"Have been meaning to stop by here to see if the reviews were accurate. The park grounds are very pretty. There is a big pavilion, a small lookout tower, a nice looking playground, lots of open space and big trees. I visit parks for the trails so I was interested in the condition of the boardwalk. The rumors are true. The southern entrance to the boardwalk has a giant Do Not Enter sign and a metal barricade. The northern entrance was overgrown, but no barricade. I walked in just far enough to see boards are rotting and the entire structure looks like it's about to collapse further in. If you're looking for a quiet park to take your kids to for a playground and running around or to have an outdoor gathering, this place is great for that. If you're interested in hiking in nature, I recommend skipping this park and checking out Hanson Riverside County Park instead."
