"Area is closed for renovations, not sure when it is supposed to reopen, but it was a nice area to hangout by the lake, and birdwatch!"

"One of the hottest days of the year and nobody's here. But it's 3.30pm on an ordinary Monday, so most people are probably too busy. The facilities include parking, a public boat ramp (obviously), plus kids' play equipment, some picnic tables with benches, some shade trees, and a small restroom block. The edge of the lake in this whole area is shallow, so almost any size person can enjoy a paddle (a useful 'Britishism' for you to look up!) at their own risk, of course. If you have a valid TX permit, fishing is allowed, I believe, According to the sign at the entrance to the park, swimming is also OK, at your own risk. I'd bring water shoes to protect feet from small rocks."

"I really like spending some time here at the lake. I just would love it more if it had a larger pavillion to reserve for family reunions and gatherings such as the Bringle Lake in Nash, or Texarkana, Texas area. We loved it there and miss the lake. We spent several days every week there. It would be nice if this lake area in Waxahachie had a couple of floating mounted walk on decks to walk out over the water, a walking path, volleyball area, and little park grills for grilling outdoors, the playground could be covered and have the rubber turf or loose rubber instead of shredded wood. It could use a makeover for sure."

"Great little spot to enjoy with the family. Has a park and picnic tables. No grills so bring your own. The water was great! Swam all day and got burned! Fun family day!"
