Reviews of Central Park
"This is a nice little park, tucked in behind the firehouse and ballfield. The play equipment is different compared to other parks around. There are amenities for the little children, a basketball court and a single tennis court. There's also a small pond with a nice pier for sitting and relaxing. There's three areas with multiple picnic tables. Some of the play equipment for the younger kids needed some cleaning and the picnic tables have been bombed by the birds. There's also a splash station, but it was too chilly the day we were in the park."
"I came here for the outdoor skating rink but was disappointed to find that it is just a small slab of concrete. It is lowered into the ground about 6-8 inches with a curb surrounding it, I assume to be filled with ice in the winter, but it is very dangerous if you are to bump into it on skates and can easily break your ankle. The fact that it is lowered also encourages it to flood and get full of debris, which is the state it was in when I came. I really do not recommend quad or inline skating on this rink in the warmer months, but it might be fine to ice skate on (though I hope they’ll add a railing for that). Other than that, the park is small but quaint and is a cute place to take your kids or go fishing if you aren’t looking for anything extravagant."
"Taking photos all mine were lost re-creating memories glad something stay the same"
"Thus is a smaller park in Manhattan's downtown area. The pond is lovely. There are tennis courts and baseball fields as well as a couple of play areas for kids. The train play set is cool and very realistic."
"Very comfortable place. We sat at the pavilion to have a drink and chat in the shade, eventually moved to where we could see the baseball field to watch to game. There's a new splash pad, a small pier on the pond for fishing, and a few other new things there this summer."
