"Little over grown in some areas to get a view of the lake. Fairly easy trail, took the dogs got a few ticks. Good and shady in some areas too cool you down on a hot day. Lots of flowers and butterflies. Saw one green snake. Dog walked right over it with out a bother. Ran into one biker on the trail. Spent about 2 hours out on the trail. Make sure you bring water on a warm day it was 87 degrees while we were out there. Overall very enjoyable trail!"
"Plenty of technicals for anyone with a mountain bike. I hiked on Saturday and there were a slow steady stream of people on bikes. Two other crew came walking with their dog. Perfect secluded trail that has little traffic from hikers. There are plenty of loops around, I went straight east and down towards the lake then took a loop trail back to the parking. About 2.5 miles was what I did. A good amount of random bugs flying around a few days after it rained. No contact with anything other then bugs. I would recommend wearing pants of long socks since there is some tall grass overshadowing the trails. There was little trash.(Keep it that way Texas!) Maybe I would go back to walk some other loops."
"Beautiful trail, dress lightly though, gets a bit hot and humid, otherwise great outdoor adventure! Some small streams with extremely small fish but walk it far enough you reach a wide open area for good fishing. Worth it fellow anglers any hot spots you know of please give me a holler"
"Enjoyed a morning hike, we got there when it was Dark and per reviews of about boars and snakes we walked the dirt road until it was light enough to see the trails, and help avoid snakes and/or boar encounters. Thankfully saw neither and enjoyed a great hike with beautiful flowers and great shade when the sun came out!"
"Beautiful primitive hiking trail. Some parts of re shared with bikes, but all the times we've been there we've only seen 1 bike. It has some "hills" and "valleys" which the kids found very fun! I would not recommend it for brand new hiker or little kids who can't walk well."
