"FYI: they do extra trimming on your dog without permission** We are extremely disappointed in our Sammy's grooming appt. We have used yuppie puppy 3x now. For our first appt, I gave explicit details of how to trim her paws and her sanitary trim and that I DID NOT under any circumstances want her trimmed anywhere else. In the last appt and the one for today, I once again gave explicit instructions that stated I only wanted her paws and sanitary trim. To my surprise, when I picked her up today I saw straight trimming across her underbelly and then found they had also trimmed the back of her legs and her ears. When I called to ask about them trimming her, the receptionist rudely said "we asked you when you dropped her off" which was a lie. No one asked me anything and the only thing they said to me was "it's a holiday so when we call for your 15 minute warning be sure to be here within the 15 minutes". My partner called back to speak with the owner as we are still very upset with this and the owner only offered up a weak apology, became defensive and rude, and said "you're the only Samoyed owners to not trim". Google Samoyed trimming and you will find a plethora of articles specifically stating that Samoyeds DO NOT need trimmed AT ALL. So please get your facts straight before rudely dismissing us. So if you are like us and don't want your doggos fur trimmed, you're going to have to explicitly state that each time and hopefully you won't get someone scissor happy like they were today. I am very disappointed that we won't be coming back. The soap they use is very nice and she feels super soft afterwards. But I doubt it will be hard to find that elsewhere with groomers that actually respect the owners."
