"Super fun 18 mile hike if you do the whole loop. Not a ton of hard uphill. The view up here is 10x better than the Emory peak"
"Good hike out to here. Iโd advise being in decent shape. May even see a bear. Great view and worth it."
"Absolutely stunning hike! We made the loop via Laguna Meadows-South Rim-Boot Canyon (with spring water all the way!!)-Pinnacles. The hike began at ~8:30 in mid-70F weather and ended back at the visitor center at ~5:30 and mid-80s. Laguna Meadows is shady in the morning and makes a gradual ascent but the Pinnacles decent in the afternoon was pretty brutal. The views from the South Rim were well worth it. My recommendation: bring more water than you think you'll need and bring a Sawyer filter as the spring in Boot Canyon is cold and clear and can possibly provide water. Boot Spring provided water all the way until we broke off towards Pinnacles."
"Definitely the best trail in the park. Long (14-15mi) but certainly worth every step and very doable for anybody in reasonable shape, decent boots, and water. We did the trial in November and took it clockwise and you still probably want to start by 6am so you've done most of the climbing before it gets too hot. We saw lot of black bears! Six different sightings and one was a mama with cubs, so be careful. Plan to eat lunch hanging your feet off the south rim and enjoy the the view into Mexico."
"A long day trip - but worth making the effort. Spectacular views all the way along the South Rim. Would strongly recommend adding a couple of miles to the less-trafficked Southeast and Northeast Rim. hikingtheworld.blog/2017/10/29/emory-peak-big-bend/"
