"I've recently started the adoption process with a pit bull rescued from an abusive past and she literally has the scars to prove it. From what I've gathered from the rescue, she started out terrified of everything, she had no social cues, and just had a complete lack of confidence. "We had such a great experience at Helping Hounds. Our trainer was so good with our dog and extremely helpful. The facility is large and has plenty of parking. They are very busy. You should call ahead to be out on the schedule. It seems they are usually a couple weeks out on average. So plan ahead. They offer a lot of other dog related services too and advanced training."
