"An Iowa State Park campground, very reasonable fees, and roomy sites. Bathroom could use a clean. We briefly walked around the caves. I must admit caves are not my thing, so we didn't stay lo g"
"Beautiful hiking and good site. Area is a little tight and there were a ton of families. Our site and others had a raccoon problem even when everything was put away, the raccoons were willing to climb on the truck looking for a way to get to the food in the enclosed truck bed."
"Love how small it is, and it's tucked back into the trees. The main road between the sites is paved. Gravel camp sites though. The walk in tent sites are non electric but nicely shades and pretty secluded. Restroom with showers towards the entrance and a free will donation wood area. You really can't go wrong on any of the sites. Nice playground for the dis at the campground entrance. Dump and water fill Station as well."
"This is easily one of the best state parks in Iowa if not the Midwest. The trails and caves are exceptional with unique landscapes. Some of the stairs and trails are in need of repair but overall the park is great. There’s only about 6 miles worth of hiking trail but with so many caves to see you can fill your whole day! Be advised it is slick out there and you will want shoes with a good grip!"
"Nice campground, spaces are sort of close together and it was fully packed on Easter weekend, pretty noisy, kids, dogs, etc. However, come Monday, we were the only ones in the park and it was quiet. Shower house is a disaster… cold, and terrible water pressure. Trails are fun to explore and caves are pretty cool."
