"Loki, my 6 month old happy Cane Corso is a recent Star Puppy and a Novice Rally graduate :p"
"We love coming to class at JBKC, great classesband instructors to help support your dog and you!"
"Took my pup to socialization class and Star Puppy Classes and puppies played after class. Conformation class also had the dogs playing after class if the owner so desired. Just finished the Canine Good Citizen Class and never saw any spray bottles or towel throwing by an instructor in any class. Have also went to several barn hunt training days and they also were great. All the instructors are very knowledgeable with years of experience training and have been involved with dogs for obedience, tracking, rally, scent, barn hunt, conformation, herding etc....A great place to train your dog for not just competition but a well rounded family member."
"We have a COVID rescue. Looking for socialization. I was sick the first week of class that was with dogs. I called - no response from trainer or any staff. Went to class with my dog week 3. Beginning of class the staff walk around to touch the dogs - no cleaning of hands or gloves. Isn't COVID on the rise? Safety protocols need to be in place?? My dog reacted to a dog so a staff member brought over a spray bottle of water to spray my dog. I responded ABSOLUTELY NOT...her response was I WAS TO SPRAY MY DOG. I told her to go away. Another dog reacted during the training and the trainer threw a rubber band bound up bath towel at the dog - it hit the dog in the snout and the dog cowered behind the owner. At this point I picked my dog up and walked to the outer portion of the training area. When it was our turn, I said probably not a good idea since we missed the week before and had no experience. The trainer said she'd take my dog - I said no. She berated me because I didn't hold the leash correctly or the treats. My dog did well - another dog lunged and my dog responded. Trainer stomped her foot toward my dog and shouted NO! I responded - YOU will not do that again to my dog. Not only is this inappropriate, unprofessional but borderline abuse. Maybe I should attend the next class with a rubber band bound bath towel and a spray water bottle. When the trainer acts out I will throw a towel at her and see how she likes being bullied or belittled?! This is NOT the place to take your dog."
