"Great innovative filter. Product was easy to handle and load. Even with my leeriness of trying new products these days, this one was an absolute success! Cleaned well. Will use again and do recommend."
"Have been working in the pool service industry for 25 years. FilterBalls is one of the few manufacturers that actually know what they are talking about, answer their phones when you call, respond with professional emails and fully support their customers and pool owners. Had a few problems a few years ago, but they fixed them. Have very few issues today, and I service 200+ pools, maybe half of them have FilterBalls."
"Scam Company! After the misleading info on their website (1 bag = 100lbs of sand...which it doesn't!), I wanted to cancel my order. I, instead, got the most condescending email from Sharon, telling me all about their product. To be clear, they sell single bags that "will not be enough to fill ANY pump housing on the market." And, my pump that holds 77lbs of sand will need "at least 2 bags to fill it." So, 1 bag =/= 100lbs of sand. Even after the deceptive advertising, they're so concerned with the $40 that they refused to cancel the order. Buyer beware!"
"Sorry for the lengthy review, there is just too much GOOD to talk about! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!! I cannot say enough AMAZING things about this company! Both the product and the customer service blew my mind...it is rare in this day and age to find a company that provides a product that works as advertised (maybe even better!) AND backs it up with a customer service experience that has honestly been refreshing and second to none in my book. Let's start at the beginning... I was researching how to switch away from my existing DE filter due to the age, reliability and hours and hours of maintenance it took. I just could not seem to keep the pressure down on it while trying to filter my 14,000 gallon above ground pool. I was planning to move to a sand filter and came across Filterballs. Being in Michigan, it seemed like a great option given the fact that I was going to need to disconnect, winterize, move and store my system every year. The weight difference between 300 lbs of sand and 3-5 lbs of Filterballs was a no brainer. So, I began trying to figure out how to implement. I read the well-written documentation provided by the CEO Kirk Morris and hit a roadblock as it said "...call and discuss options if you are NOT using a 2-speed or variable speed pump." So, I did just that! This is when I met Sharon, the Customer Engagement lead. Sharon is FANTASTIC!! She helped explain why and how Filterballs require a 2-speed or variable speed pump and was very patient with me as we worked through what was needed. I could tell she had a smile on her face the entire time we talked... just an overwhelmingly pleasant experience! I realized that in order for this to work, I was going to have to also replace my 1.5HP pump. But, when my questions began to make her unsure, she faked nothing, told me she didn't know (HONESTY...who knew it still existed in the business world!) and put me in contact with her "technical team" This is when Kirk called me back within the next 2 hours to talk through my setup...little did I know at the time, I was speaking directly with the CEO. Kirk, like Sharon, was patient and CRAZY INFORMATIVE! He literally helped me design a system that would be perfect for Filterballs, explaining why the pump I had for my size of pool was probably part of my existing issue. He gave me plenty of recommendations on filter makes and models and even collaborated with me on a cheaper variable speed pump that he was not familiar with. I LOVED the fact that he told me it could be a great alternative and to "let him know how it works" after I install it. Most importantly, he wanted to make sure I maximized my investment by getting the right sized equipment (3/4 HP variable speed pump & larger filter housing) to support the proper flow rate through the Filterballs media and back to my pool. So, I ordered my equipment and my Filterballs. Kirk & Sharon both cared enough to reach out to me to see if I had any questions during my install process and helped me get up and running. Sharon even called me back after 1 week to see how my experience was going!!! She helped fine tune my setup and within 12 hours, my cloudy, aqua pool water is clear and sparkling with minimal chemicals other than a chlorine floater. On top of all of this, the product is made right here in the US and Filterballs is a supporter of veterans & wounded heroes, which is just the cherry on top. I URGE anyone looking to replace their existing sand, cartridge or DE filter systems with an AMAZING product made by an EXCEPTIONAL company that TRULY stands behind what they sell to switch to Filterballs... you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!!"
"Horrible product! Almost Zero filtering capacity. Total and complete waste of money!"
