"Couldn’t even get a word out to their gun shop rep when I called inquiring about selling a firearm. It’s one thing to set someone’s expectation and not waste their time, it’s another to treat someone like they are a liar, talk over them, and provide zero customer service. Didn’t even call to talk about price, no gun shop can give you a price over the phone. Called to ask about selling a firearm for the first time which I never got a chance to even shoot. I wanted to know how that transfer works, how I’m protected as no longer being the gun owner after the sale. Money is tight, a little friendly customer service answering my questions and I would have accepted any offer that they are making as they see hundreds of weapons in and out daily. Instead I get asked “what am I looking to get for it” over the phone and then scoffed at for asking $350 for an unused firearm that retails for $499. I would have taken any dollar amount Southside felt the gun was worth with a set of eyes on it, if you allowed me to even make it into the store. I called Southside because the reviews online made it seem this was a well run family establishment, but it sounds like there’s no difference in selling to them or a big box store. At least customer service matters at Cabelas. I’m not looking for charity but being treated like a customer and not a nuisance isn’t a lot to ask for. Was hoping to come out today, try out the range, spend some money on a cheaper gun than what I have. I guess I’ll never get a chance to do business here."

"Went to purchase a firearm which lead to a background check ( as expected ). What wasn’t expected was that the employees had no clue what any of the gun laws were plus the employees were rude about any questions I had. I paid for a firearm and waited 7 days before I went back just for the ladies at the front desk to tell me that they “have” to wait for a response on the background check. When I mentioned the Brady law to them they just looked at me like lost lambs….at which point I just wanted my money back. Which also was a big miss, they kept a “$50 application fee” and the sales tax on the item I was trying to purchase. $75 is a good amount of money my friend. Needless to say I’m never going back to Southside pawn, I do not recommend anyone to purchase a firearm there."

"Once I arrived thereI pretty much assumed I would be in and out (not in the good way) due to my initial greet. Once the staff and a few customers starred me down everything was smooth sailing. I did not realize it’s also a pawn shop which is pretty cool, and I did no think Southside Guns and Ammo was that big. They have everything you could possible need. I am definitely coming back here and I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family."
