Reviews
"I was disheartened to read recent reviews disparaging the construction side of this company. Our pool was completed about 5 years ago, and we did not encounter any of the difficulties described by those who have worked with the company more recently. I think it bears noting that we have been impressed, from day one, and consistently thereafter, with the maintenance side of the company. Skip and his team are responsive, professional, reliable, knowledgeable, honest, and considerate. They have repeatedly gone out of their way to address needs as they arise, and our pool looks immaculate all summer long. We have noticed that as service has declined in other industries, Quantus has continued to go above and beyond."
"AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. This company is the absolute worst pool company i have ever used. If you read all these comments and use them you are a fool. All of these people can not be wrong. When you have a problem and you will. You will have a very big problem using them. I called everyday for a few weeks to talk to Jason McFarland and the women kept telling me she gave him the message, he never called even once. They screwed up my hot tub. Please message me if you arr even thinking about using them. I can give you the names of 2 other people who have used them and are disgusted with Quantus pools. Do yourself a favor and find a different pool company. I hope I never have to say I told you so, if you use them"
"As soon as we signed the contract, and they accepted 90K, they never continue with they work. And now they just give as a promise over another promises. Specially the agent Matt Pollick, who just care about the contract being sign and receive payment. You will have hard time to reach him out for the answer. We are paying cash. This company is not recommended at all for any one. Please be careful."
"We previously posted a very negative review about our experience building a pool with Quantus. I'm following that up with another negative review - as our experience has only gotten worse. You'll note the reviews for Quantus pool construction are QUITE negative over the last few years. Check out their YELP rating as well - two stars. I would strongly recommend avoiding Quantus - it will only lead to extreme frustration. Most recently, I simply need to replace a coping stone that was broken (by our landscaper) during installation. Quantus had promised they would order over the winter and replace this spring. Since that time, I've left literally hundreds of texts and phone calls, all of them have gone unanswered. They refuse to help at all - despite having promised they would take care of it. At this point in time, I simply need them to order a single stone. For some reason, they just ignore me. I know firsthand from other customers and from our home builder that this is a pattern. All I need is a two minute phone call from them. The stone supplier refuses to help me directly - they've said they'll only work with the installer. So now I'm completely stuck because of the complete lack of professionalism and common decency from everybody at Quantus. I'm sure somebody at Quantus will respond to this review and blame me, as seems to be the pattern for all of their dozens of negative reviews over the last few years."
"I feel compelled to leave a review for Quantus Pools. As you'll see if you look, we are not the only ones in this predicament--they have abandoned our pool construction project, leaving us in a terrible mess. Please do not make the same mistake! For more details: we signed with Matt Polich to have Quantus Pools construct a pool in our back yard in March 2021. We put down a sizeable deposit at that time (15% of the total project cost). Matt suggested that we might not be done in time to swim that summer; he estimated maybe October or November. Understood. It took the rest of the year for permitting to be executed. We thought this was long, and it seemed many of the delays were perpetuated by the engineer Quantus arranged vs. the city engineer, but we had never executed a project on this scale before, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Excavation initiated in June of 2022 with another sizeable payment by us. Matt met with us to select finishes and promised to send us a design board summarizing our selections (we have never received the design board, despite requesting multiple times over the intervening months). As excavation was wrapping up, we got the invoice for the concrete phase of the project, which again we promptly paid. The concrete was coming imminently; hence, the payment was needed ASAP. The concrete didn't come imminently. It didn't come for many, many weeks. The excavated hole was left untended for long enough for rain to fill it and collapse the sides, such that the hole had to be repaired. Every week was the same story: it's coming later this week, or early next week, or some excuse, or no reply at all. It took long enough that we started to panic about not only about the very large payment we'd supplied with nothing to show, but also about the damage to the hole becoming significant enough to cause damage more broadly to our yard and home. Finally, we were scheduled for a village inspection, which had never been mentioned before. The inspection precedes concrete...and since we'd never been scheduled for an inspection before, it is challenging to believe that any of the previous promises that the concrete was coming soon were based in reality. Concrete was delivered five days after the inspection, in the second half of August 2022. The concrete was to cure for two weeks, and coping would be built, etc.. Unfortunately, no further work was completed, and Quantus has made no attempt to reply to any contact since September 6th. We are left with a rebar-reinforced concrete-lined hole which is filling with rain water, a mountain of dirt, and a big problem with what to do next. It seems the maintenance arm of Quantus is still getting good reviews. Maybe that arm of the company is truly reliable and professional; however, given the scale of terrible experience we have had with the construction arm, we would suggest caution for any dealings with this company."
