Reviews
"Good selection of fabrics and patterns and sewing supplies. Employees very helpful. Lots of craft stuff too. Found some books to help teach my granddaughter to sew."
"I usually don’t review places, but this was insane lol. I’m just getting into sewing, and was looking for the fabric that was necessary for my project. It says I needed “Velveteen”. Idk what that is, or where to find it, so I asked the girl that was organizing the fabrics. I didn’t catch her name tag, but her name started with a T. She was incredibly rude when I asked her where to find it. Luckily, my mom sews a lot so she was able to help me. Then, when I got to check out, there was one lady and she was just chatting it up with the family in front of me. I got called up to her register, and she asked if I had a number with Joann. I said “yes” and gave her my number. She typed it in and just said “no.” Idk if she typed it in wrong or what, but she didn’t even try to ask if I wanted to sign up or use a different number. Was just incredibly rude. I came here because I was given gift cards for Christmas because I have been REALLY excited to get into sewing, but this experience makes me not want to do it anymore. And i see reviews saying the same thing about rude employees. Not a good experience at all."
"Waited in line for 20 minutes with about 20 people in line the whole time, I’m not exaggerating I checked the time. There was only 1 cashier and she seemed to be good at her job but there were 4 other employees doing other things. An old woman was waiting at the framing department for a long time too, confused and helpless. I want to stress that in a business like this customers should be #1 and should at least have 2 cashiers. I can’t see what would be more important at that moment and why the manager wasn’t helping. Other than that the store itself had what I needed and it looked nice."
"Horrible experience at this store. My family and I stopped by this store to get some fabric for a sweater. We couldn't find the aisle that had thread so I asked a rep name Nicole if she could show us where the item was. It seemed to us that we were inconveniencing her. Instead of showing us where it was, she verbally tried to direct us where to go. Out of frustration I just asked her, "can you just show me which aisle it's in". No, she couldn't even do that, she told me I was getting close, almost there. We walked away and eventually found what we were looking for. On our way out I asked for her name, she said Nicole and my manager is at the front of the store if you need to speak with her. Customer service at it finest."
"My husband designed and did the wood working to create a dining table topper holder, and I then sanded and upholstered it with a fabric remnant we picked out together at Joann. It turned out great and exactly what we needed. We were trying to match or beat the price of buying one. We bought poplar hobby boards at home Depot at ~$4, the fabric at Joann ~$2 on sale, ~$4 of furniture nonskid feet, and we don't want to count the box of nails because we will use the rest of the nails on other projects, so maybe $0.50 of nails. I'm also not counting staples and staple gun because I had that already. That makes $10.50 and the rack you could buy was like $20. Not bad! :) Glad the fabric remnants were on sale and the texture and color was nice."
