"This Allen location is better than Plano, but only to an extent. Broken hot tub is something I’ve heard from others there that has been broken for months and never fixed. No towels available. You seem them folding towels but the never put it in the locker room. Didn’t look really clean when I went there. Overall I’ve visited 3 different locations and they were all less than perfect. And at the sky high prices they charge I would recommend you to find another gym if you’re reading this. Just look at other reviews. I’m not alone in the mindset that prices sky rocket and quality and experience plummets. In 2008 lifetime used to be 24 hours. Today they didn’t away with that. They used to be very clean. You literally would see staff actively cleaning multiple times a day. Today that doesn’t happen. They used to keep their buildings in order today most have equipment issues and problems. They used to have ample staff around. Today, nearly all locations are under staffed. Should be a 1 star rating but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. And taking into account that they are in a better shape (to some extent) in the condition of the building. But does it justify the price hikes? No way what so ever. They are drying out wallets out there and not giving people what they pay for. I my self just recently restarted my membership but I’m considering cancelling. Going to a cheaper gym. Won’t be lifetime quality but at least it’ll have a justified price. For example there is another gym near by that’s 89 a month. This life time is worse than the cheaper gym but at least the other gym has a price that is justified with what they offer. Life time should lose customers just to make a point to their corporate to get their account together and bring back the gym they used to be. Bring back better prices and better gyms."
"Aisha was very helpful facilitating my understanding of location access at different membership levels, demonstrating single use locker combinations that have been put in place, and answering my question about membership holds when out of town for an extended time. I was able to resume the swimming I love soon after on the same day. In the locker room, I was pleasantly surprised to see glass door upgrades to the showers and was glad maintenance schedules were posted clearly communicating facility use changes. This allows for planning appropriately when using the guest passes allotted each month. I will only bring guests when I can show off my favorite things. I was also thankful for the flexibility of the swim coach in allowing use of reserved lap lanes while his need was not 100% yet and another patron was using the only lane left open. This corresponds to what I expect from a higher tier fitness center when those with memberships have tight schedules but still prioritize health and fitness."
"Crazy pay $200 plus a month and there are no courts open because they use it for kids yet have a full pickle ball court they can use. Definitely gonna stop coming here and reevaluate paying these outrageous fees when I only signed up so I could play basketball. I guess this place is a giant day care. If you’re an adult here paying $200 month you have less access than the kids do."
"Be very careful with these guys. From what I can tell, they’re not very honest. They see dollar signs, not people. We’ve been members for years. We brought on my mom-in-law while she was visiting from out of country. We made clear to staff that it would be a very temporary addition. We now suffer a $100 hike in dues, some months after my mom-in-law returned home! They used the opportunity to nix our grandfathered rates, having been made aware up front that it would be a very temporary change. Yet they did not even mention that it might be in our best interest just to set up a separate account for my mom-in-law! Yeah, fraudsters. There isn’t much lower that a company could go. Jorge (GM) and Shelby will pass the blame, talking about “rack rates,” nearby gym pricing, and corporate. But call corporate, and they’ll send you right back to Jorge. As Stephanie at Craig Ranch put it, ultimately it’s the home gym’s “bottom line”; it’s their decision how to structure pricing. So go set up under another gym. Even spend a bit more. Find a GM who will deal honestly, because Jorge apparently won’t. I’m the victim in this case - don’t do the same."
"I’ve been a member for at least 10 years. Here’s what I don’t like about this gym and I turned in a report about it at the beginning of 2022 but not sure it was given any importance or credence. 1) women’s locker room has been ridden hard and needs to be managed better. The lockers are awful for several reasons. Less than 50% of lockers are even usable because patrons will take the keys home to the nicer lockers not allowing the lockers to be available for everyone. This is a vicious cycle which is propagated by mismanagement. I’ve including pictures. When I’ve inquired about lockers not being available I was told that they don’t have anymore keys to the missing lockers. This needs to stop. It’s worse at the 121/Lake Forest location than any other location. 2) the toilet area has stainless steel diving walls but they needed to be retired and laid to rest about 8 years ago, at least. I’ve included pictures. I have mentioned this to management in a formal writing with pictures attached and again not a single thing has been done. 3) there have been a few locker doors replaced but coincidentally they all have missing keys because somebody stole the keys to keep it for their own private use. I’ve attached a picture of this too. Also, part of the vicious cycle of maintaining a locker room which is accessible to its paying members. 4) my monthly cost has increased 57% in my 10 years as a member but I have fewer group classes offered that I like to take. My amenities have decreased with the decreased hours of operation. I work a job where working out at 2 in the morning is more amenable to my schedule but I can no longer do that. There is pickle ball now, a few more gym toys and new tile around the locker room vanity mirrors. 5) one of the nasty toilets has been out of service for a long time and the available use date keeps getting extended. I’ve included a photo of that too."
