"After trying another maid service and getting absolutely nowhere, I stumbled upon Maids around Town. After a minor mix-up with time schedules they sent out a maid that worked wonders and gave us the VIP treatment. Their communication before and after the fact using emails and texts make it really easy to schedule service. I would recommend this service to anyone."
"My cleaner arrived on time and got right to work. She was friendly and did a very thorough job. I would definitely recommend Amber and Maids Around Town and call on them again for myself."
"I tried Maids Around Town for a few cleanings and have had issues pretty much all of the times. My first scheduled service was great, and they did an excellent job cleaning the house (they conducted a training and had multiple maids with a supervisor overseeing the work - I believe this is a tactic used to hook in new customers). Unfortunately, I was overcharged on time (we have a camera installed in the house and are able to verify start and stop times) and had to call and have a somewhat lengthy discussion before it was resolved. I thought I'd give them another shot since the price was so competitive, and the quality of the cleaning high. To summarize the issues that occurred in the following cleanings: - They are highly disorganized. Sometimes they respond to texts, sometimes not. Sometimes the things you discuss with a representative over the phone actually get put in your file, sometimes not. Sometimes you get a text indicating that a maid will be cleaning your house tomorrow when you had not scheduled anything of the sort. The list could go on and on and one, but trust me, the lack of organization is frustrating and extensive. - Although there usually was at least one issue we'd have to follow up with the company about, the last (and final) cleaning we got was just awful. On the last visit, she left an hour early and left much of the house completely untouched with piles of our things she'd moved in different rooms, sometimes randomly in doorways. Part of my dining room table adornments is missing. Again, I could list out detailed everything, but for the sake of brevity, trust me, it was not good. - I've been overcharged more than once and had to call to resolve the issue (we had a total of 4 cleanings with them with the majority of exchanges involving billing issues). BOTTOM LINE: the price might seem worth it, but you end up spending more time than it's worth dealing with all the issues this company comes with, and in the end IT'S NOT WORTH IT! DO NOT USE THIS MAID SERVICE!!!!"
"The clean was scheduled to be on a tuesday at 8am so i told my husband to stay put in our apartment so he could let the cleaner, he had work at 9:30. Three+ hours later(around 11 to 12) my husband texts me that they haven't arrived. So i text them, they apologise, say that the cleaners made a mistake and asked to reschedule to a Saturday at 9am. That day is my birthday and i had other plans but I accept the rescheduling because I didn't want to wait another week for my apartment to be professionally cleaned. As im trying to reschedule, the reply abruptly stops and then they randomly ask if they could do anything for me. This seemed odd to me and gave me the impression that multiple people were responding to the same conversation to me. That is very unprofessional. I explain that I was asked to reschedule and that I accepted it. I also ask this new recipient who makes the work schedules for the cleaners and said that the office makes the schedule and dispatches which tells me that the first recipient was attempting to play the blame game, another unprofessional aspect. The day of, the cleaner did come in on time and she was very nice. I think she did leave one of cleaning items here by mistake so i I don't know if she meant to do that. Shortly after I let her in, i ask if she is okay with me leaving her here while I go out and that my husband will be home shortly to let her out. She said that it was fine and that it won't take too long to clean my home anyway.(it took her about an hour to clean my home). When I come back later into the afternoon and the place was very clean. The kitchen was perfect and so was the living room. The tub in the restroom still had some hair in it but it's not really anything to really complain about. There were also some areas undusted like the ceiling fan in the living room or the bookshelf. But I'm not sure if it just got dirty again after a few hours. The underside of the toilet seat looked unwiped as well but that could very well be my husband's doing too. I give the cleaner a 3/5 But I give their office's customer service a 0/5. EDIT: Despite paying $62 For two and a half hours of work, the cleaner left an hour and a half early. I've been trying to contact the office for a proper reduction in price and no one has been able to accommodate."
"Maids to order called me to expand their customer base for home cleaning. They had a special 3 hours for $60. I warned them that I had several dogs and 3 cats and my house was very dirty with lots of dust and fur as it is shedding season.( Please understand that I have two dog doors and all my animals are house trained and the go outdoors to do their business. There are no feces or animal droppings in my house). The gentleman on the phone told me that was no problem that they had a great crew Who Loved animals and could take care of it. So I agreed for them to come out to clean my home on Friday. Friday comes, the maid arrives. I have my dogs locked in my bedroom with me.. She stays for a few minutes and then calls out to get my attention. I go downstairs to see what the problem is, she tells me she has allergies to cats, then immediately tells me she has asthma. I told her that was not a problem she should go ahead and leave and they could send someone out who does not have allergies. As she is leaving she has to go up the stairs past 2 Cats. She tells me she could not leave because she was terrified of cats and they were in her exit route! 20 minutes after her departure I got the following text message from her company Maids to order: ""Hi Deborah. Unfortunately with some of the places with the animal droppings we do not have the proper cleaning supplies for it. We can go back out there once you have a professional animal cleaner at your house. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you. You will not be charged."" This text message obviously enragaged me as there were no animal droppings or anything in my house that a maid could not clean. It's simply that the maid was terrified of my cats so she lied about the asthma she lied about the allergies and then she went back and told her boss that I had animal feces throughout my house which was a a slanderous lie. If I could give them - Stars I would give them - 5 stars. I have had many Maids come clean my house throughout my adult life and with all my animals and never have I had such an insult or just refuse to clean my house as this one did. And then cover up her refusal by lying about my hom"
