"This is the story of my first time filing a lawsuit. I've never met a business owner that cared less about their customers and ethics then David Koen. Please be careful taking valuables here. One week after getting married I took my suit and my wife's wedding dress to Doche cleaners. I was given a 6-8 week timeline. After 10 weeks I went in to the store to see how much longer. I was given vague answers with no real date now. I would visit every two weeks for the next 6 months before finally getting the dress. Of course my suit valued at 750$ was no where to be found. I filled out a lost items page on several occasions. Requested to talk to the owner about some kind of compensation. My number was repeatedly left but no call back. Eventually a front desk person sent me to the paramount location saying Koen is there more often, but do not tell him I sent you. I thought that was strange but went on my way. At this other location I met a middle age man who told me Koen was not there, and he had no idea when he would come around. Later I decided to look this guy up, so I would know who I am looking for at the cleaners. I found the same guy who was behind the counter at paramount location. Koen lied about who he was to my face. So then I began filing a judgement against David Koen for my suit. Two years later I just collected my 750$ check from Bank of America yesterday. I spent 150$ in court cost and many hours of my life working on this. Financially it was not time well spent but it was the principle. So many times he ignores customers who have lost or damaged goods. I had only wore this suit once at my wedding and it was my first expensive suit I bought. So consider this a warning. Do not take your expensive or sentimental items here."

"Not open till 6. They didn’t answer the phone at 5:55 and when I pulled up at 5:59, the lady stopped counting her register to run and shut off the lights. It was very obvious she had shut down her register long before I pulled up. I wouldn’t recommend trying to pick up after 5:45."

"I am very disappointed in this cleaners. I dropped of a pair of Jean and short sleeve shirt to be heavy starched for a wedding we have this weekend. The jeans are NOT heavy starch at all. The shirt was not even attempted to be starched. The lady informed me that they couldn’t starch because the tag said so. I asked where it said on the tag and she said light iron if needed. Then told me they only starch all cotton shirts. If I bought the shirt and requested it starched it should be starched. No where in the store does it say the exemption. She could have told me this if it was a company policy when i dropped the clothes off. I feel like she tried every excuse on why it wasn’t done correct instead of trying to fix the problem."

"Dropped off my small, leather purse for them to send to a leather specialist- I asked for an estimate on price of the cleaning- she told me, judging by the size of my bag, that it would likely cost between $40-$60 for the cleaning and warned me I wouldn't get it back for around 6 weeks. I dropped it off around mid-July. Called to ask a about it around 8 weeks later since it had been a while- employee assured me it would arrive eventually and told me she would be sure to call me when it did- she sounded annoyed with my inquiry. I get it. It can be frustrating when/if the people you're working with (leather specialists) are slow and customers are getting impatient. So I didn't call or bug them for another month. Come early October and hearing nothing, I decided to call again (even though I was afraid of being treated like a nuisance by this employee) and she tells me my item is ready. My response: "Oh okay great....nobody called me to let me know." The employee's "...well it's here" Sooooo attitude about asking when it's ready & attitude when I called about picking it up. Cool. And I am so not a person who cares about this stuff normally, but the customer service was horrendous. Not to mention I ended up paying over $70 for my leather, clutch sized purse to be cleaned after 3 months. All of the inaccuracy with pricing and timing is totally forgivable, but to be treated like dirt on top of it was extremely frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you have something that needs to be sent off."
